Betty Peek, 69, of Marion, Ky, passed away June 3, 2013, at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services. She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church in Marion, Ky. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryle and James Story of Marion, Ky; a sister, Patsy Stevens of Marion, Ky; her mother, Juana Mae Stone of Marion, Ky; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deon Jones, 70, of Lola, Ky, Passed away June 6, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was in the army branch of service for three years. He is survived by his son, Robert “Joey” and Gelaine Jones of Eddyville, Ky; two brothers, Tommy and Shirley Jones of Marion, Ky, and Dwight and Teri Jones of Eddyville, Ky; a granddaughter, Ashton Forsythe; and two great grandchildren, Brady and Brystol Forsythe. He was Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Edna Mae Jones; and one brother, Bobby Joe Jones. Olive Grace “Tootsie” Brasher, 87, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away June 6th, 2013, at Oaklawn Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville. Tootsie was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Wedge” Thomason and her parents, Sam and Allie Brasher. She is survived by her children, Susan Thomason Hewitt (Tommy), Louisville; William W. Thomason, Jr. (Barbara), Lexington; Richard Mark Thomason (Melanie), Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, John Monroe Nichols III (Kelly), Louisville, Walter Barrett Nichols III (Katie), Melissa Thomason Chambless (Phillip) and Laura Thomason Dickens (Jack), all of Atlanta, GA and Charles Cutchin Powell, Jr. of Washington DC; great-grandchildren, Isabel Reynolds Nichols, Hugo Walter Henry Nichols, Eloise Miller Nichols and Harlan Thomason Nichols. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marcie Reynolds Thomason. Tootsie was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who possessed a powerful love for her family and friends and a timeless sense of style. Her devotion and joy of living were evident to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Her graveside service were held 1 p.m. CST Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Smithland Cemetery in Smithland, Kentucky. Donnie Crabtree, 53 of Paducah died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at home.Mr. Crabtree was a carpenter. Surviving are three daughters, April Oropeza of Ledbetter, Aubrey Crabtree of Ledbetter, and Angie Crabtree of Grand Rivers; one son, Ben Crabtree of Heath; two sisters, Cathie Rayburn of Paducah and Laura Gonzales of West Paducah; two brothers, Marshall Crabtree of Paducah and Josh Alexander of San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Crabtree and Dianne Hammonds; one sister; and one grandchild.
