Gladys Ann Wadley, 60, of Calvert City formerly of Smithland died July 16, 2013 at Lourdes Hospital. Mrs. Wadley was retired from the food service industry. Surviving are one son, Ben Brody of Calvert City; two brothers, Bill Trail of Alabama, David Wadley of Smithland; four sisters, Patsy Wood of Ledbetter, Teresa Riley of Jackson, TN, JoAnn Leslie of Smithland, and Becky Burgess of Reidland. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wadley and Mildred Bryson. Graveside services were held July 20th at Smithland Cemetery with the Rev. Edwin Waldrop officiating. Smith Funeral Chapel of Smithland was in charge of arrangements.
Euleen Baxter, 86, of Salem, KY, passed away July 12, 2013, at Mills Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mayfield, KY.Ms. Baxter was a longtime resident of Salem, KY and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She graduated from Murray State College, and was a retired business teacher from Livingston Central High School. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Messmer of St. Mary, GA; nieces, Dana Simpkins, Mary Ann Queen, Ruth Ann Elliott, Debbie Mason, and one nephew, Greg Ramage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulene and Gladys Ramage of Burna; sisters, Jo Ann Johnson of Chattanooga; Georgia LaRue of Salem; brother, Rayford Ramage of Burna; and one granddaughter, Shannon Groves. Graveside funeral services were held July 21, 2013, at Smithland Cemetery, with the Rev. Chris Clarke officiating. Neal Dalton, age 74 of Salem, Kentucky passed away at his residence on July 17, 2013. Mr. Dalton was a core driller. He is survived by his wife, Alma Dalton, Salem, KY; son, Billy Sullivan and daughter Lisa Hastig, both of Baker, MT; step-sons, Troy Jennings, Salem, KY and Nickie Jennings, Nashville, TN; one brother, Teddy Dalton, Marion, KY and sisters, Joan Fox Chandler, IN and Kay Fuller, Marion, KY; three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Graydon and Effie Wheeler Dalton, three sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held July 20 at the Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with burial in the Whites Chapel Cemetery.
