Cheryl Ann Hollowell, age 43, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:50 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky. She was a Kentucky Wildcat fan. Cheryl was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church and Little Union Baptist Church. Cheryl was a wonderful
mother. Cheryl is survived by one son whom she was very proud of and loved very much, Devante Hollowell of Lexington, Ky. Four brothers, David Hollowell of La Center, KY., Aaron Hollowell of Paducah, Ky., James Waterfield of Paducah, Ky.,Terry Hollowell of Elizabethtown, Ky. and one sister Lorraine Hollowell of Indianapolis, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother Erlon Hollowell and her parents Earlon and Lola Hollowell. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Ky. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Ky. with the Rev. James Vinson and the Rev. John Baker officiating. Betty F. Garner, age 86, of Wickliffe passed away at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at 8:35 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for sixty two years. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Wakefield and her husband, Billy of Wickliffe; her son, Alan Murphy Garner and his wife, Marchia of Kevil; her sister, Becky Cox of Hickory; her special sister-in-law, Nell Murphy of Hickory; her grandchildren, Randy Garner of Kevil, Amy Walters of Wickliffe, Alana Jordan of Kevil, and Adam Leath of Wickliffe; her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Kate, Gauge, Cole, Garrett, Sara, Luke, and Abby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Jack" Garner; her parents, George Thomas and Estella Linda Gipson Murphy; her sisters, Georgia Mae Rennie, Juanita Skaggs, and Linda Sue Sparks; her brothers, Dub Murphy and Bill Murphy. Services for Ms. Garner was held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Burial followwed in Hillcrest cemetery. Dorothy Toombs, age 89, died at 3:24 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah, Kentucky. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church and attended Mount Zion Baptist Church. Dorothy had been a resident at Life Care Center in La Center, Kentucky. She was a devoted and loving Christian mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and a true friend. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Toombs and his wife, June Ann from Barlow, Kentucky; one daughter, Trudy McCutchen and her husband, Lynn of Paducah, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Rory Toombs and his wife, Jenna, Ryan Toombs and his wife, Erin, Kacy Clanahan and her husband, Chance, Clint McCutchen, Caleb McCutchen and his fiancee, Ashley, and Colin McCutchen; and five great-grandchildren, Rowan Toombs, Walker Toombs, Easten Clanahan, Henry Clanahan and Paxton McCutchen. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Toombs; two sisters, Gertrude Smith, Mildred Hatler; and four brothers, Edward Hatler, Vernon Hatler, Wilson Hatler and George Albert Hatler. Her parents were Dillard and Nora Barnhill Hatler. Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, 2016, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Kentucky, with the Rev. Tim Smith and the Rev. Don Pippin officiating. Interment followed at Oscar Cemetery.

Jerrald Warren Chandler, 88, of Clinton died Monday, March 14, 2016, at his daughter's home. He was a retired supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton. He is survived by one daughter, Gaye Auxier of Murphysboro, Illinois; one son, Bruce Chandler of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Chandler; and one sister. His parents were Arlie S. Chandler and Tennie McWhorter. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Clinton with Rev. Stan Waldon officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, 210 S. Washington St., Clinton, KY 42031. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
