Lamont Gray Calhoun, age 68, of Kevil, KY, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Calhoun was a member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church and Connexion Church. He was a retired firefighter and EMT for USEC, was a lifetime member of the NRA and was a U.S. Army Veteran having honorably served his country with two tours during the Vietnam War. Lamont is survived by his wife, Donna Cornelison Calhoun; daughter, Christie Joy Bacon and husband, Scott of Kevil, KY and her mother, Linda Darlene Martin of Marion, IL; son, Kerry Robert Jackson and wife Karisa of Houghton, LA; five grandchildren, Declan Bingham, Caitlin Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Brian Vick and Bethany Vick; brother, Harlan Calhoun and wife Bobbie Nell of Paducah, KY; niece, Camilla Duigiud; nephew, Harlan 'Bud' Calhoun Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lamont Calhoun and Shirley Gray Calhoun. Funeral services were held Monday, March 21, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Brandt Lyon and Rev. Paul Ballew officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Helga Dickerson, 83, of Wickliffe died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Barkley Center of Paducah. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her son, William Dickerson of Sebastian, Florida, and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Geobel Crews Dickerson, and one grandchild. Her parents were Hermann and Charlotte Horn Northe. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Wickliffe City Cemetery with the Rev. Dee Hazlewood officiating.

Lois Evelyn Byas, 74, of Barlow died at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah. Mrs. Byas was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and Mother Board. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Troy Byas; five daughters, Marilyn Garrard, Doris Fitzgerald, Beverly Williams and Teresa McClure, all of Paducah, and Carolyn Bledsoe of Barlow; one sister, Hattie Griffin; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Byas and Timmy Byas; one sister; and four brothers. Her parents were Rufus and Opehlia Milburn. Services were held Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Fairview Baptist Church in La Center. Robert Gerrard, Grayling Baucom and the Revs. Rodney Hill, Chris Cody and Raynarldo Henderson officiated. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.
