Bobby Hays, age 63, of Cunningham, KY, passed away at 6:15 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. Bobby was a devoted husband of nearly 45 years to his wife, Janice, and loved his children and grandchildren. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 181. Bobby was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed going on his annual prairie dog hunting trips to South Dakota. He truly enjoyed helping and working with his sons. He was a believer in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Janice Hays; two sons, Jason Hays and wife Amanda; Austin Hays and wife Erica; one brother, Walter Hays and wife Joyce; and four grandchildren, Kendra Jeffords and husband Kerry, Allison Terry, Hunter Hays, and Eli Hays all of Cunningham, KY. He was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Hays; one sister, Elizabeth Hays; and one grandchild, Jessie Terry. His parents were Herbert and Mildred VeuCasovic Hays. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery. Gary Lynn Hargrove, age 69, died at Baptist Health at 2:45 a.m. Saturday morning, April 2. Gary was a retired Register Nurse. Gary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Gary was a veteran of Navy and the Army. He loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to draw and paint. He is survived by his father, Joe Hargrove of Kevil; two sons, Cary Hargrove and his wife, Karen of Calvert City, Kentucky, and Daniel Hargrove of Louisville, Kentucky; one daughter, Amanda Skaggs of La Center, Kentucky; one brother, Mike Hargrove and his wife, Carol of Wickliffe, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Katlynn Hargrove, Jasmine Hargrove, Cara Hargrove, Jackson Skaggs and Maddie Jones. Ruth Ann Griffin, age 59, died at her home Friday, April 1, 2016, in La Center, Kentucky. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Ruth Ann is survived by one son, Brad Griffin of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; two brothers, Joe R. Griffin of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Billy Griffin of La Center, Kentucky; three sisters, Mae H. Woods of Paducah, Siller Laverne Harrell of Toledo, Ohio, and Evelyn Procter of Paducah, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Antanisha Caldwell of California; and one grandson, Khalil Griffin of Brookport, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Hughes; and her parents, Robert and Lillian Griffin. Charles Keith Vance, age 71, died at his home in Kevil, Kentucky, at 9:15 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016. Keith was a Navy veteran and was a member of Kevil First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Leslee Vance of Kevil; one son, Ronnie Vance of Kevil, Kentucky; one daughter, Rhonda Lange and her husband, David of Kevil, Kentucky; one brother, Bobby Vance of Kevil, Kentucky; two sisters, Gail Youngblood of Kevil, Kentucky, and Charlotte Sullivan of La Center, Kentucky; one grandson, Justin Lange of Kevil, Kentucky. Charles Henry Solomon, 84, of Lovelaceville, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at his home. Charles was born in Ballard County, Kentucky, on December 2, 1931, to the late Jess and Alice Reeves Solomon. He was a sergeant in the United States Army. Charles retired as a cement mason for Harper Industries and was a longtime member of Cement Masons Local 135. Surviving are two children, daughter Vicki Herron of Lovelaceville, Kentucky; and son, Mika Ted Solomon and wife, Barbara of La Center, Kentucky; three grandchildren, David Solomon, Kristina Peek and Jason Herron; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy DeJarnatt Solomon; sisters, Marilyn Gordon and Dorothy Gibson; brothers, Jess Solomon and Warren Solomon; and his parents. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Lovelaceville Baptist Church, where he was a member. Brother Jared Hayes will officiate. Edward "Sonny" Rogers Jr., 75, of La Center, formerly of Lovelaceville, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Mr. Rogers was a former grocery delivery driver and member of Lovelaceville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rita Rogers; one son, Terry J. Rogers of Benton; one daughter, Sherry Alvey of La Center; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Edward Rogers Sr. and Lucille Rogers. Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2016, in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
