Mrs. Dalvie Imojean Arington Blumenberg, age 95, of Clinton passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her residence. She is a member of Springhill Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Valarie Peery of Clinton; son, Monte Robin Blumenberg of Clinton; two brothers, Arlie Arington of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Linvel Arington of Summerfield, Illinois; four granddaughters, Kim Boulifard of Nashville, Tennessee, Shannan Ruth Inman of Ruston, Louisiana, Kristia Reynolds of Clinton, Kentucky, and Taresa Sibcy of Winchester, Kentucky; seven great-grandchildren; seven loving caregivers, Pat Daniel, Pat Cunningham, Linda Byassee, June Dodge, Leisa Gibson, Kay Allison and Dr. Bruce Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Blumenberg; parents, Harvie and Lula Crice Arington; son, Larry Blumenberg; infants, Monte Keith and a granddaughter; seven sisters; and two brothers. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Chris Clark officiating. Burial followed services in the Springhill Cemetery. Mr. Lewis Bowles, age 74, of Metropolis, Illinois, died on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born on March 19, 1942, to LeRoy and Ida Mae Bowles. Graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Trad York officiating. Burial followed. Lewis was vice president with Triangle Enterprise in Paducah for 35 years. He was a member of Waldo Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge No. 91 and was currently serving on the Massac Unit No. 1 School Board. Lewis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Taylor Bowles; daughter, Barbara Ball and husband, David; son, Blake Bowles and wife, Rene, all of Metropolis; seven grandchildren, Dakota Ball, Colby Ball, Nathan Ball, Sara Jennings, Candace VanderBoegh, Mackenzie Bruer, Derrick Bowles; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Young of Paducah; one brother, M.T. Bowles of Kevil, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce Bowles; one granddaughter, Laura Bowles. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Morrell Harris, 86, of Monkeys Eyebrow died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Harris Jr.; one son, David Harris of Bandana; one brother, Tom Wells Jr. of Wickliffe; one sister, Faye Douglas of St. Louis; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda O'Hara; and two brothers. Her parents were Richard and Edna Martin Wells. Services were held Friday, April 15, 2016, at New Hope Baptist Church in La Center. The Rev. Billy Riley with officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Church Cemetery. Betty Lee Thomas Hall, 80, of Paducah, formerly of Wickliffe, died peacefully on April 12, 2016, at home in Paducah. Betty was born January 25, 1936, in Dyal, Florida, and grew up in Waycross, Georgia. She made Kentucky her home after moving there with her husband, Cliff Hall; and two children, Brad and Tonia. In addition to raising two children, Betty was a bookkeeper for the Boy Scouts of America in Waycross, Georgia, and for Westvaco Paper Mill Federal Credit Union in Wickliffe, Kentucky. She was a longtime member of homemakers clubs and local bridge clubs. She loved a walk on the beach and enjoyed hosting parties and entertaining at her home. Betty was a member of West End Baptist Church in Paducah. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Conner of Waycross, Georgia; son, Brad Hall and wife, Betty of Paducah; daughter, Tonia Hall and husband, Tom Jordan of Lexington, Kentucky; granddaughter, Amanda Hall Powell and husband, Brandon of Paducah; and great-grandson, Brody Powell. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Thomas. Funeral services were held. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. F. Wayne Carter officiating. LaRue Shekell Crenshaw, 92, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 7:55 am Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL. She was a member of Paducah First Baptist Church. LaRue was born in Paris, TN on January 26, 1924 to Richard and Lurlene Shekell. She was a retired nurse, having worked at Henry County Hospital in Paris, TN, Murray Calloway County Hospital and as an assistant to Dr. John E. Newman in Paris. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 25 years and Daughter of the Neith Temple #80 in Madisonville, KY. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Richard Howard Crenshaw, of Paducah, KY; her step daughter, Lucinda Marie Barnett and husband Terry, of Cadiz, KY; her step son, Timmy Ray Crenshaw, of Paducah, KY; her grandchildren, Russell Gene McCutcheon and wife Bonnie, of Gettysburg, PA; Jill McCutheon, of Portland, OR; Amanda Crenshaw and Timberly Crenshaw, both of Benton, KY, Hannah Barnett, of Cadiz, KY; her step grandson, Derek Englert and wife Shannon, of Benton, KY; her great grandchildren, Maddie and Sylvie Englert, and Bailey Jackson, all of Benton, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard K. Shekell and Lurlene Robertson Shekell; her step daughter, Rue Jean Jenquin; her half sisters, Mille and Lillie Shekell; her brother, Orville Shekell; her half brother, Rupert Shekell. A graveside funeral service took place Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Paris, TN. With Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.
