Mr. Ronald Alan Tucker, age 52, of Metropolis, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013, at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Burial will follow the service. Ronald is survived by 3 daughters, Michelle Laster and husband Jarrad of Metropolis, Christy Bradbury and companion John Cook of Metropolis, Heather Wheaton and husband Travis of Grand Rivers, KY.; 8 grandchildren; 1 half sister, Teresa Strong and husband Chris of Metropolis; 2 nieces; mother, Donna Skrine of Cicero, IL.; stepmother, Mary Tucker of Metropolis, IL.; brother, Todd Adams and wife Melanie of Braidwood, IL. Virginia Sue Weaver, 69, of Metropolis passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 17, 2013. at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Tom Emmerson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Church Cemetery in Metropolis. She is survived by her five children, Tammy VanEchten and husband Frank of Riverside California, Mike Jacobs and wife Kelly of Metropolis, Debbie Harner and husband Patrick of Vienna, IL., Kevin Cremeens of Metropolis, and Jamie Weaver and wife Julie of Metropolis; her 10 grandchildren, Michael Jacobs, Matthew Jacobs, Kayela Miller, Tori Hettinger, Brandon VanEchten, Dylan Cremeens, Tyler Harner, Wyatte Weaver, Drew Jacobs, and Addyson Weaver; her three great-grandchildren, Cameron Miller, Vivian Miller and Bryce Hettinger; her siblings, James Harris, Bruce Harris, Patricia Lott, Carol Harris, and Ellis Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ellis and Bertha Harris; her husband, James Weaver; and one brother, George Harris. Mr. Tom E. LaVeau, age 87, of Metropolis, IL., passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Lourdes hospital in Paducah, KY. Tom was born on April 17, 1926, to Louis F. and Florence (Baker) LaVeau, who preceded him in death. Graveside and burial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tom Emmerson will officiate. Tom worked his families’ plumbing business and was a member of the Plumbers-Pipe Fitters Local 160. He was a past alderman for the City of Metropolis for several years. Tom is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Janet LaVeau of Metropolis; 2 grandchildren, Macy and Hayden Laveau; his sister-in-law, Mary LaVeau; 1 nephew, Greg LaVeau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bess (Isoline) Leaveau; and brother, Louis LaVeau. Kerry Doke, 57, of Paducah died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed with Galaxy Cable in Wickliffe, Ky., for 28 years as a technical manager. He is survived by three sons, Brian Doke of Blandville, Jerrod Doke of Barlow, and Cody Doke of Blandville; three grandchildren; his parents, Ken Rudy Doke and Carolyn Lamkin Doke of Paducah; two sisters, Lana Moore of Murray and Jackie Wilson of Paducah. . George H. Cunningham, DVM, Born October 31, 1942, in Taylor, Missouri. Passed away October 9, Lourdes hospital, Paducah. Member of First Baptist Church of La Center. Served as an active deacon for several years. Member and past master of Antioch Lodge #332, Grahamville OES #494 and West Kentucky Consistory of Madisonville. Served on several local and regional health boards. A 1968 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine. Member of Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and Jackson Purchase Veterinary Medical Association. Has practiced for 45 years at Coffee Memorial Animal Clinic, P.S.C. in LaCenter. Member of the American Angus Association, the National Cattleman’s Association, and Kentucky Cattleman’s Association. Survived by wife of 49 years, Mary Marsh Cunningham; three children, Marsha (Jeff) Sullivan, Howard (Kendra) Cunningham, all of Kevil, KY. and Cathy (Nick) Dodaro of Atlantic Beach, Florida; one sister, Mabel (Dale) Coon; three brothers, Fred Jr. (Joyce), Bob (Mary) of Philadelphia, Mo., and Dan (Joyce) of Hannibal, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Rachel and Slader Sullivan, Seth and Kevyn Cunningham, Ian, Gia and Dax Dodaro; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pearl Tallent Cunningham; and one brother, William Everett Cunningham. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Laura Lyn Woods, 42, of Gage died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Lourdes hospital. She is survived by her father, R.T. Woods of West Paducah; her mother, Ruthie Woods of La Center; and three brothers, Roger Tracy Woods of Ledbetter, Carlton Trent Woods of Kevil and Michael Bruce Woods of Port Charlotte, Fla. She was preceded in death by one sister. Services were held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Bud Russell officiating.
