Alexander Ray Shugart, age, 27, Died Sunday Evening at Lourdes Hospital. He is survived by his Father Ronald Shugart of Ashville, Ky.,  his Mother Cindy Shugart of Oscar, Ky.  One son Alexander Shugart of Pittsburg, Kansas.  One brother Brandon Kear of Texas, three sisters Amy Kersey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brandie Kear of Oscar, Ky. and Smantaha McKee of Houston, Texas.  Two Nieces and three nephews. Graveside Services were held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at La Center Cemetery with The Rev. Ryan Baker officiating.  Interment at La Center Cemetery followed.

Fred J. Giles, age 78, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Life Care Center in La Center, KY. Fred retired from Kentucky Utilities after 40 years of service,  he was a member of the Wickliffe Masonic Lodge #625.  He was a member of Barlow Baptist Church. Fred was a member of the U.S. Trotters Association. He was a past Board member of Board of Directors of Ballard County Farm Bureau. Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years Claudette Giles of Barlow.  One son Tracy Lynn Giles and his wife Betsy of Lexington, Ky.  One daughter Nicole Chandler and her husband Brandon of Kevil, Ky.  Three brothers Jack Giles and his wife Rita of Wickliffe, Ky., Neil Giles and his wife Norma of Marietta, Georgia, and Tim Giles and his wife Kim of Redonda Beach, California.  Six Grandchildren Christina Giles of Lexington, Ben Curtis Giles of Kevil, Ky., Clay Giles and Lilly Giles of Lexingtron, Ky. and Kasey Chandler and Katie Jo Chandler of Kevil, Ky. Fred Was preceded in ddeath by two sons Curtis W. Giles, and Kenneth Giles, two brothers, Roger Frank Giles and Joe Giles.  And his parents Roger and Eunice Giles. Graveside Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Barlow Cemetery with the Rev. Dewayne Chadwick officiating.  Interment will follow at Barlow. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Wednesday Evening at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter. Ron (Papa D) David, age 77, of Paducah, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:25 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Baptist Health of Paducah. Ron was born in St. Louis, MO on December 8, 1936 to Ernest David and Sylvia Opal (Gates) David.  He was employed at ABF Truck Lines of Fort Smith, AR where he served as Regional Vice-President for 30 years.  He served in the U.S. Army during  the Korean War from 1956-1959.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and UK basketball fan.  He loved to play golf, dance and was an awesome Elvis impersonator. He was a member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church in Paducah where he sang in the choir. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda Sue (Bailey) David of Paducah; daughter, Kim Berran and husband Roger of Swansea, IL; son, Ron David and wife Brenda of Albany, N.Y.; three step-daughters, Laurie Kemps and husband Steven of Dallas, TX, Debbie Burge and husband Ronnie of Arlington, KY, Rica Lindsey and husband David of La Center, KY; step-son, Tim Kinsey of Paducah; sister, Phillipene Martin and husband Kenny of St. Louis, MO; half-sister, Sharon David; half-brother, Ernie David; four grandchildren, Laurie Maier, Karen Kjellberg, Krista David and Cameron David; four step-grandchildren, Sammie Jo Roberts and husband David, Lauren Pace and husband Brian, Hunter Burge and wife, Courtney, Shelbie Ralph, Johnny Kemps and Sam Kemps; three great grandchildren, Brice and Ava Maier and Elijah Kjellberg;  step-great grandchildren, Georgia Reese, Samuel Roberts and Parker Pace; and his loyal puppy dog, Sage. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson-in-law, Jonathan Maier. Funeral services for Ron David were held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Revs. Louis Brinker and Don Pippin officiating.  Burial followed in the La Center Cemetery.
