Annette Buchanan Perkins went to be with our Lord on April 27, 2014 at the age of 99. She was born on September 14, 1914 to Fannie (Hook) and Verner Buchanan who preceded her in death. On June 6, 1932 she married Arthur Perkins who preceded her in death in 1993. Her sisters May Etta Rottgering and Magdalene Kell also preceded her in death. Annette is survived by her daughter, Andolene Inman, husband Thomas, granddaughter Jennifer and grandson Terry and his wife Jennifer and three great-grandsons. Also by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Morrow Funeral Chapel in Kevil at 9:00am May 1st with funeral services to follow at 10:00am. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Gage. Annette lived in the Kevil and Gage community all of her life until her last 7 ½ years to be near her daughter and family in Springfield, MO. Annette enjoyed her Kentucky farm, working 32 years in the Ballard Memorial High School cafeteria and the company of many friends and loved ones. Annette was the oldest and longest member of Kevil First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the mission fund at Kevil First Baptist Church.

Becky A. Rollins, of Jackson, Mich., formerly of Wickliffe, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Mich. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Wickliffe City Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe. Other arrangements were incomplete.

Brenda Gayle Scruggs, 66, of Madisonville, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 19, 1947 in Anna, Ill., to James Marshall Scruggs and Mary Gibson Scruggs. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Scruggs. Ms. Scruggs worked as a grant writer for Madisonville Community College. She was a member of McKendree United Methodist in Kevil, Ky. She started her teaching career in Ballard County, Ky. She also taught school in Sikeston, Mo. She is survived by one brother, Tom Scruggs of Paducah, Ky. Memorial services were held Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at McKendree United Methodist in Kevil, Ky. and at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Madisonville Community College John H. Gray building room C12. Burial will take place in McKendree Cemetery. The family requested that attendees wear UK attire to the memorial services in honor of Ms. Scruggs. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Hopkins County Humane Society; or the McKendree Cemetery Fund, 2860 McKendree Church Road, Kevil, KY 42053.
