Hannah Lee Graves, infant daughter of Matt and Mandy Graves died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 9:14 a.m at Baptist Health in Paducah. She is survived by her parents Matt and Mandy Graves of La Center, One sister Lalee Jo Graves of La Center, Ky. Grandparents Larry and Robin Ashford of Barlow, Kim Story Graves of Wickliffe, and Greg and Laura Graves of La Center, Ky. Great Grandparents Leon Story of Wickliffe, and Bennie and Nancy Graves of La Center, Ky. Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Ryan Baker officiating.
Mrs. Karen LaFont, 65, of Brookport, Illinois, passed away at 12:28 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services were held Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah. The Rev. Corey Aker and Rev. Paul Donner officiated. Burial followed in Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Karen was born on February 8, 1949, in Washington, Mo. to the late Harold and Robbie (Buchanan) Schmitt. Karen is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Allen LaFont; two sons, Matt LaFont and Abby and Drew LaFont and Amanda; six grandchildren, Cannon Andrew, Max Allen, Banks Matthew, Rowan John, Piper Brown and Finley Grace; one brother, Hal Schmitt of Bowling Green; and two sisters, Marilyn Fritzler of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Jane Mysock of Tulsa, Okla. Evelyn A. Zolotareff, 96, of Wickliffe died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Life Care of La Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a former assistant professor of English at the University of West Virginia. She produced educational films for Allstate Insurance for 30 years. She is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour Zolotareff. Her parents were Milton C. and Pearl Wray Anderson. Services were held Saturday, May 4, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Rev. Jennifer Schoenrock officiating. Burial followed in Barlow Cemetery.
