Roger Ray Vaughn, age 53, died Saturday at Wildlife Management Area in West McCracken. He is survived by his wife Dawn Vaughn of Kevil, two sons Chad Wilson and Corey Vaughn of Kevil. One Daughter Casey Wilson of Kevil, Ky. Two sisters Rose Ellen Durr of Kevi. and Rebecca Bradford of Paducah, Ky. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Janet Spears. Roger was of the Christian Faith. He was presently employed at Honeywell. Was a member of Ledbetter Masonic Lodge F&Am. Funeral Services will be Wednesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Tommy Bogle officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday Evening after 5:00 p.m. until Funeral time at 7:00 p.m. Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center is handling arrangements.
Nita Jo Bush Smith, age 52, of Wickliffe, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Cairo, Ill. Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Wickliffe for 30 years, and was a member of the Ruth Class. She worked as a Customer Service Representative for 13 years at First National Bank. Her life was her family and her faith. She was looking forward to being "Ni Ni" to her first granddaughter, Baby Claire. Nita enjoyed spending time surrounded in the beauty of the outdoors with those she loved. She was always willing to try anything including hiking to be part of their lives. She just recently found the Big Dipper Stars in the night sky that she had searched for years to see. She was a special and loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Mike Smith; one son, Craig Smith and wife Caroline of Cape Coral, Fla.; two sisters, Carol Kachadorian and husband Mike of St. Clair, Mo., and Karen Marquart and husband Rick of Washington, Mo.; three brothers, Peter Bush and Wife Sherry of Festus, Mo., Jim Bush of Camdenton, Mo., and Randy Rush and wife Zina of Union, Mo.; and one granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Smith of Cape Coral, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Mickley Bush and Jessie Lea Moore Bush; and one brother, Phillip Bush. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Wickliffe with Rev. Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will follow in Wickliffe City Cemetery. Mary Louise Stiff, 85, of Tamms, Ill., died at 7:18 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was a seamstress and factory worker for 25 years at the former Snower's Factory in Cairo, Ill. She was a member of McClure Pentecostal Church and attended Cairo Pentecostal Church for many years. She is survived by four sons, Charles L. Stiff, Paul Douglas Stiff, and Bill Stiff, all of Tamms and Kenny Stiff of Olive Branch; a daughter, Glenda Dowdy of Tamms; three sisters, Dorothy Mayberry of Cairo, Barbara Ann Johnson of Peoria, Ill., and Carolyn Sue Smith of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, David Lee Franklin of Ullin; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harold Stiff; two sisters; and three brothers. Her parents were Clurie Cullum Franklin and Lucille (Kennedy) Franklin. Services were held Monday, May 19, 2014, at Jones Funeral Home Tamms with Shannon Hollingsworth and the Rev. Bob Smithey officiating. Burial followed in Olive Branch Cemetery in Olive Branch.
Edward 'Eddie' Evans, 62, of Gage, Ky., passed away at 6:16 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah. Mr. Evans was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, was retired from Westvaco and was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Eddie is survived by his wife, Robin Terrell Evans; three daughters, Mandy Evans Lee (Michael) of Cunningham, Ky., Lyndsay Evans (Jenn) of Paducah, Ky., and Melissa Chandler (Tyke) of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Chad Lee, Mathew Lee and Allyson Lee; a sister, Bettye Cox of Ocala, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Evans; two sisters, June Werle and Shirley Crane; two brothers, Frank Evans Jr. and Eugene Evans. His parents were Frank and Oma Owens Evans. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Colton Wyatt Robertson, infant son of Richard and Brandy Hargrove Robertson died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Baptist Health in Paducah. He is also survived by his Maternal Grandparents Pearl and Jerry Hargrove of Barlow, Paternal Grandmother Carol Robertson of Barlow. One Great Grandmother Willa Maude Creel of Scranton, South Carolina. Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Colton was preceded in death by his Grandfather Randall Robertson. Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. DeWayne Chadwick, Rev. Mike Moynahan and Rev. Scott Fickes. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. untill funeral time at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, Ky.
