Jo Ann Bondurant passed away on September 12, 2014 at 85 years of age. She was a color artist for Curtis and Mays Studio for many years and a homemaker.She was loved by many people and touched so many lives. She was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bondurant is survived by a daughter, Diane Shrewsberry and her husband, Steve Shrewsberry of Paducah; four Grandaughters, Stacey Blankenship and her husband, Kenny of Paducah, Tessa Witledge and her husband, Randy of Osprey, Florida, Dawn Boatman of Paducah, and Catherine Hon and her husband, Matthew of St. Louis; four Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Blankenship, Justin Blankenship, Kailen Boatman, and Jaeden Boatman; a sister-in-law; two nieces, a nephew, and a daughter-in-law, Donna Bondurant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Okie Terry Shelby and Richard Terry, her husband, Bobby Lane Bondurant, a son, Barry Lee Bondurant, one brother, Bill Terry, a sister, Mable Terry Moss, and a special friend, Thomas Coleman. Services were held Monday, September 15, at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Drew Gray officiating.. Interment followed at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian cemetery. Catherine D. Armstrong, age 78, passed away Saturday, September 13 at Baptist Health of Paducah. She was born March 24, 1936 to Mable Duncan and Raymond Davis in McCracken County. She was a loving Momma, Wife, Nana, Nana2, and Granny Cat to her family and all who knew her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of La Center. She was a former member of the Antioch Chapter of Eastern Star. She worked as a beautician at A Cut Above in La Center. Catherine is survived by two sons; Keith (Smokey) Armstrong and wife, Vicky of Kevil, and Chris Armstrong and wife, Aleta of La Center; one daughter; Donna Beth Garrigus and husband, Dennis of Paducah. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Jason Armstrong and wife, Carrie of Barlow, Mandy Montlouis of Kevil, Samantha Knight of La Center, and Tyler Thomas of Paducah; five great grandchildren, Riley and Parker Armstrong, Ally Montlouis, Talan and Taylor Thomas; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mable Davis, her husband, Fred Wilson Armstrong, and one brother, Jesse Davis. Visitation for Catherine Armstrong will be Monday, September 15 from 5-8 P.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel of La Center. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, September 16 at Morrow Funeral Chapel of La Center at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Sickling and Cindy Engelhardt officiating Interment followed in La Center, Cemetery, La Center, KY. Donations may be made in Catherine's memory to First Baptist Church of La Center.
Dorothy Anne Faber Trapp, 89, of Paducah, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:10 am at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL. She was born in Hamilton, OH and retired as a teacher from the Hamilton School System. She was of the Episcopal faith. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Ramey of Paducah; a son, Dr. James M. Trapp of Warren, OH; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernst Trapp, parents, Robert and Helen Schmitt Faber and one sister. Paula Rankin, 56, of Metropolis, Illinois, died at 8:36 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her home. She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Rankin; one daughter, Helen Rosellen Cissell of Metropolis, Illinois; one son, Jeffrey Dale Rankin of Aurora, Illinois; two grandchildren, Dakotah McCoy and Austin McCoy; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Jackie Lynn of Goreville, Illinois, and Cliff Berkley of Metropolis, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister; and one infant brother. Her parents were Jack L. and Della Rose Hall Berkley. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Robert P. "Bob" Fronabarger, age 76, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born at home on September 1, 1938, in Daisy, Missouri, son of Paul Willett and Della Mae Hahs Fronabarger. He and Sandra K. Erdos were married February 3, 1962, in Oak Ridge, Missouri. Bob attended High School in Oak Ridge. He enlisted in the United States Navy on June 11, 1956, and was honorably discharged August 31, 1959. He worked at Ceramo Works in Jackson, Missouri, and later worked for the Missouri State Dept. of Agriculture in Sikeston and Kansas City. They moved to Iowa where he worked for Sioux City Grain Inspection Company, and then to Kentucky where he purchased Cairo Grain Inspection Agency in Cairo, Illinois. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oak Ridge and was currently a member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge in Jackson, Missouri. Bob became a member of the Scottish Rite in Kansas City, MO, and later became a 32nd degree Shriner at Abu Bekr Shrine in Sioux City. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cairo, the KIM (Kentucky/Illinois/Missouri) Shrine, and the Grace United Methodist Church in La Center, Kentucky. Loving survivors include: his wife, Sandi, of 52 years; a son, Keith (Kelly) Fronabarger of Kevil, Kentucky; a daughter, Brandi Fronabarger of Paducah, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Ashton (Matt) Cavanaugh of Wickliffe, Kentucky; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Cavanaugh; and a brother, Randy Fronabarger (fianceÃ©, Ruth Moneyhun) of Jackson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with the Rev. Jamie Lee officiating. Interment followed in Goshen Cemetery in Oak Ridge with full military honors.
