Tony Lee Holmes, 50, of Barlow, died Saturday morning, Nov. 1, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah. He is survived by one son, Brandon Holmes, of Barlow; one daughter, Michelle Lea Holmes, of West Paducah; and one stepdaughter, Lexie Hack, of Barlow. His parents were Leslie and Marcella Holmes. Visitation was held Tuesday Evening. Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center is handling arrangements.

Gaye Renee Lieser-Williams, 54, of Metropolis, Illinois, formerly of Aurora, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. She was born March 16, 1960 in Aurora. She was a homemaker and a longtime volunteer at the Project Hope Humane Society in Metropolis, Illinois, and the McCracken County Animal Shelter. Gaye is survived by her son, Jonathan H. Williams of Somonauk, Illinois; parents, Mary and Harold Lieser of Somonauk, Illinois; brothers, Guy (Lisa) Lieser of Aurora, Illinois, Greg Lieser of South Elgin, Illinois, and Joseph (Sue) Lieser of Naperville, Illinois; aunt, Elaine Lieser of Tipton, Iowa; cousin, Nancy Geisel of Aurora, Illinois; special dog "Hoppie"; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Hermine Richmond; and paternal grandparents, Roy and Viola Lieser. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014, at Orchard Community Church, 101 S. Barnes Road, Aurora, Illinois 60506, followed by a private burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Project Hope Humane Society, 1698 W. 10th Street, Metropolis IL 62960 in honor of Gaye Williams.

Mathew Vaughn Jr., 89, of Wickliffe, formerly of Cairo, Illinois, died at 2 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2014, at Superior Care Home in Paducah. Arrangements were incomplete at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.

Kayden Lane Hines, infant son of David Hines and Rebecca Vaughn of Metropolis, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Heartland Memorial Hospital in Marion, IL. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Justin Wolfe officiating. Burial followed in Nineveh Cemetery in Massac County. Kayden is survived by his parents; grandparents, Christina and Jason Cole of Grantsburg, Scott Hines of Joppa, Timothy and Jennifer Vaughn of Metropolis, and Paul and Cindy Stewart of Metropolis; great-grandparents, Cathy Jones of Grand Chain, Rose and Terry Vaughn Sr. of Metropolis, Allen and Joni Hiatt of Metropolis, Kenny and Brenda Kerr of Joppa, Melvin and Sharon Horn of Grand Chain, and Jim Hines of Brookport; great-great-grandmothers, Rose Horn of Grand Chain, Mildred Harris of Metropolis, and Dorothy Hiatt of Vienna. He was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Martin Jones; and a great-great-grandfather, Benny Horn.
