Kathleen Rollins, 100, of Paducah, formerly of Wickliffe, died at 8:54 a.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah. Arrangements were incomplete at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.

Edna Hess, 97, of Metropolis, formerly of Anna, died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis. Arrangements were currently incomplete at Crain Funeral Home, Anna-Jonesboro.

Anthony Ray Jones, age 58, died Friday, December 5, 2014, at 12:23 p.m. at Lourdes hospital in Paducah. He was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah. Anthony is survived by one stepson, Stevie Busby of La Center, Kentucky; six brothers, Warren Durrell of Wickliffe, Kentucky, David Jones (Barbara) of La Center, Kentucky, Jock Jones (Buffy) of Paducah, Leo Henderson of Dallas, Texas, Charles Henderson of Paducah, Kentucky, and Feddie Henderson of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters, Suzanne Smith (Talmage) of La Center, Kentucky, and Julia Berry (Robert) of Wickliffe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Henderson; father, Ernest Jones; stepfather, Charles Henderson; and three brothers, Shaunza Henderson, Jamie Henderson and Victor Jones. Graveside services were held on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wickliffe with the Rev. Rodney Hill officiating. Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Simpson, 82, of Paducah, formerly of Brookport, died at 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah. Arrangements were incomplete at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah.

Velma L. Allen Libby, age 80, was born May 28, 1934, in Saline County, Illinois, and departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at her residence in Massac County, Illinois. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Velma was devoted to her family, friends and community. She volunteered for almost every position at Franklin School, where her children attended, and was a Girl Scout leader and treasurer at her church, Powers United Methodist Church. She worked part time at P.N. Hirsch, Davis Shoes and Lizzy Lynns. She was a proud member of the Massac County Homemakers and enjoyed spending time with them at their meetings and events. Velma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Logan of Metropolis; three daughters, Karen Williams of Paducah, Kentucky, Connie Oden of Evansville, Indiana, and Donna Libby of Metropolis; five grandchildren, Melissa Butler, Tim Williams, Anna Anderson, Spencer Oden and Jason Hillebrand; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Timmons, Lindsey, Charlie and Ford Williams, Conor and Chloe Anderson and Claira Hubbard; one sister, Betty Abby; one brother, Roger Allen; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Nellie (Sinks) Allen; one son, Gary N. Libby; one grandson, Christopher N. Libby; and two brothers, Edwin Allen and Ronnie Allen.
