Doris Lee Simmons (Peedink), age 87, died at his home Saturday in Kevil. He farmed in Alabama and Mississippi in the mid 60s and 70s. And in the later years in McCracken County. Peedink owned and operated his own Bulldozer business. Peedink is survived by his wife, Shirley Simmons of Kevil; three sons, Steven Lynn Simmons and his wife Ronda of Kevil, Daryl Rhea Simmons of Kevil, and Coy Gene Simmons and his wife Rhonda of Kevil; one daughter, Susan Simmons Wright and her husband Randy of Kevil; two brothers, Herbert Simmons of La Center and Freddie Simmons of Wickliffe, Ky.; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Jean Simmons; one son, Gary Lee Simmons and one baby daughter; one brother, Billy Dean Simmons; and his parents, Herbert and Eulah Simmons. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center with the Rev. Keith Tilford officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Teddy Wayne Moss, age 78, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 4:34 p.m. at Baptist Health Paducah. Teddy was of the Methodist faith. He was a graduate of Heath High School in 1955. He enjoyed Harness Horse Racing. Teddy was employed at Air Products in Calvert City for several years. He also worked at Standard Oil on Airport Road in Paducah and Firestone in Paducah. He retired from Allan Rhodes/Paducah Ford as Body Shop Manager. After retirement he owned his own tire service. He is survived by three daughters, Rita Coley (Ken) of Kevil, Kentucky, Betty Downs (Brad) of Kevil, Kentucky, and Linda Renfrow (Klint) of Kevil, Kentucky; four brothers, Lewis Moss of West Paducah, Harry Moss of Kevil, Kentucky, Doug Moss of Kevil, Kentucky, and Jimmy Moss of Kevil, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Robinson of West Paducah and Clara Browning of Boaz, Kentucky; special friends, Bobby and Linda Keeling of Kevil; eight grandchildren, Shawna Wurth, Shannon Herron, Trey Coley, Tyler Coley, Michael Morgan, Macy Renfrow, Bree Downs and Bailey (Brailey) Downs; and three great-grandchildren, Brenen Wurth, Brice Wurth and Zoe Herron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Moss; and his parents, Rudy and Dorothy Moss. Visitation was Monday, June 29, 2015, after 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in Kevil, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, June 29, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in Kevil with the Rev. Chris Downing officiating. Interment followed at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
