Gordon Watwood, age 78, died at Life Care Center in La Center Thursday morning at 5:50 a.m. He was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church. Gordon retired from TVA as a Foreman. He was an Air Force Veteran. He is survived by one son, Kenneth Watwood of Jackson, Missouri, one adopted son, Dale Watwood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one adopted daughter, Melinda Wall of Del City, Oklahoma, Two Step-sons, Richard Purcell of Cunningham, KY. and Larry Purcell of Raliegh, North Carolina. One sister, Nancy Dilworth of Barlow, Ky. and one brother, Donald Watwood of La Center, KY; Six Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Watwood, one brother, Ronald Watwood and his parents, Batts and Eddie Mae Watwood. Visitation will be Saturday Evening from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Ky. Funeral Services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with the Dr. Larry Purcell officiating. Dorothy Louise Booker Spraggs, 88, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Wickliffe, died at 6:30 a.m. on August 7, 2015, at Boynton Beach Rehab Center in Boynton Beach, Florida. Mrs. Spraggs was a member of Arlington Assembly of God. Mrs. Spraggs is survived by one daughter, Kay Spraggs of Greenacres, Florida; three sons, Charles Edward Spraggs of Greensboro, North Carolina, Sammie Ray Spraggs of Boynton Beach, Florida, and James Lee Spraggs of Bardwell; two sisters, Peggy Snyder of Louisville and Gay Watts of Milburn; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Spraggs was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Odell Spraggs; two brothers; and one sister. Her parents were Charles Orbry and Grace Page Booker. Services were held Wednesday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with the Rev. Gleen Rushing and the Rev. Dee Hazelwood officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell.
