BARLOW -- Jimmy Harvey Myatt, age 83, died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Life Care Center in La Center. He is survived by one son, Charlie Myatt and his wife, Deena of Barlow; one brother, Kenneth Myatt and his wife, Mary of Marion; five sisters, Dorothy Knight and Mary Taylor, both of La Center, Merle Boulton and Hazel Wurth, both of Paducah, and Carolyn DeGroot and her husband, John of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Brandee Myatt, Chad Myatt and his wife, Alysia, Amanda Prince and her husband, David, all of Barlow; and five great- grandchildren, Hunter Richardson, Isaac Pigg, Alee Richardson, Emmitt Myatt and Haily Prince.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Myatt; one son, Jimmie Myatt; one great-grandson, Christopher Pigg; one brother, Jessie Myatt; and one sister, Beulah Boyd. His parents were Oakley and Louise Romaine Myatt. Services were held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Mark Claxton officiated. MAYFIELD - Mrs. Nancy Workman Courtney, age 69, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a member of High Point Baptist Church, the Mayfield Garden Club, the Teachers Retirement Association and a retired teacher from the Graves County School System.Mrs. Courtney is survived by her husband, Wayne Courtney; one son, Chris Courtney of Murfreesboro, TN; one daughter, Ginger L. Courtney of Austin, TX; one brother, Sammy Workman of Hickory, KY; and one sister, Betty Whitlow of Mayfield, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Virginia Woods Workman.Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Workman Courtney will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Bro. Darrick Holloman and Bro. Don Embry will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Philip Geurin, Jimmy Cherry, Larry Taylor, Jason Workman, Casey Workman and George Wright. LEDBETTER -- Tommy Talley, 68, of Ledbetter passed away at 3:05 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Talley; one son, Wesley Watters and wife, Sarah of Smithland; one brother, Donald Nored and sister, Kathy Talley, both of California; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Talley and Edith Curry Talley Dowling.Funeral services were held Monday, August 29, 2016, at Keeling Family Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Glover will officiate. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.Keeling Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

FULTON - Nancy Gail Jackson Kimmons 60 of Fulton passed away 7:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Clinton Place in Clinton. She is survived by her husband, Robert Kimmons of Fulton; son, Lonnie Ray Kimmons of Fulton; 2 grandchildren, Faith Nicole Kimmons and Lonnie Ray Kimmons II, both of Fulton, 4 sisters, Joyce Gardner of Clinton, Sue Burgess of Arlington, Brenda Early of Lebanon, MO and Dolly Johnson of Florida, and 1 brother, Danny Jackson of Clinton. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Alice Ann Adams Jackson, and 1 brother, Claudie Jackson. Memorial service will be held at a later date. CALVERT CITY -- Lois Lunell (Birdsong) Van Vactor, age 89, of Calvert City died at 10:14 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.Mrs. Van Vactor is survived by four sons, Darrell Van Vactor and wife Stacie of Benton; Dr. Dwain Van Vactor and wife Amanda of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Lynn Van Vactor and wife Debbie of Possum Trot; Dale Van Vactor of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Darrin Van Vactor, Brian Van Vactor, Macayla Jennings, Zack Van Vactor and Jenista Magness; seven great-grandchildren, Darrik Van Vactor, Halee Van Vactor, Kameron Van Vactor, Preston Van Vactor, Gunner Magness, Taylor Magness and Greyson Jennings; and one great-great-granddaughter, Landon Van Vactor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Lester Van Vactor; three sisters, Lela Mae Redfern, Helen Noles and June Baize; and one brother, John Boyce Birdsong. Her parents were Reverend J. Kelly and Virgie (Harris) Birdsong. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W. Fifth St., Benton with Dr. J.T. CALVERT CITY -- Richard Tapp, 82, of Calvert City died at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in his home. He is survived by his wife, Sue Tapp; one daughter, Vanessa Kay Gower of Paducah; one son, Richard Tapp of Paducah; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Tapp. His parents were David Tapp and Lillie Cartwright Tapp. Graveside services were held Saturday, August 27, 2016, at New Hope Cemetery with Elder Robert Chandler officiating. LEDBETTER -- Kenneth Dale Watts, 72, of Ledbetter died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah. He is survived by his wife, Shane Watts; one son, Dale Watts of Ledbetter; one brother-in-law, Richard Davis of Paducah; one sister-in-law, Joy Woodford of Ledbetter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bobbie Jean Davis; and one brother-in-law, Melvin Woodford. His parents were Robert L. and Vera M. (Burns) Watts. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Homer Fletcher will officiate.

MARION - Eddie Joe McDonald age 60 of Marion, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home. Eddie Joe is survived by his wife, Reita McDonald, Marion, KY; daughter Aaron McClure, Hopkinsville, KY and granddaughter, Madison McClure; two brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Doris Belt McDonald. Cremation has been chosen by the family and the arrangements are under the direction of Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY. There is no scheduled visitation.

UNION CITY, TN - Billy Gene Maynard, 82, of Union City died Aug. 19, 2016, at Union City Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Carr officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Kinsey. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. He is survived by wife Betty Sue (Brockwell) Maynard and two sons and their wives, Ricky and Linda Brown and Ronnie and Gail Brown, all of Union City; his daughter-in-law, Kay Maynard of Union City; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Lewis and Donna Craft, both of Union City. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald Maynard; two brothers, Marvin Maynard and Charles Maynard and two sisters, Lucile Speed and Francis Harbor.

PADUCAH - Jackie L. Brack Sr., age 68, of Paducah passed away at 10:14 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Barnhill Brack of Paducah; one daughter, Tammy Brack Theodore of Douglasville, Georgia; one son, Jay Brack Jr. of Dallas, Georgia; and seven grandchildren, Jamie, Taylor, Shayla, Katie, Damian, Jermaine and Devan. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Malik Theodore; one brother, Fred W. Brack; and his parents, Fred E. Brack and Viola Nichols Brack. Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Moynahan officiating. Burial followed at La Center Cemetery in La Center.
