TILINE -- Charles Gaines, 85, of Tiline passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah.Mr. Gaines worked in the manufacturing industry and was a farmer. He enjoyed making brooms, making flies for fly fishing, beekeeping, and farming. He was also a U.S. Korean War veteran and member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.Surviving is his wife, Jean Gaines of Tiline; one granddaughter, Natalie (Andy) Edwards of Benton; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Raby and Bryce Edwards.He was preceded in death by one son, Randy Gaines; one brother, Barkly Gaines; and one sister, Hazel Stigall. His parents were Guy Gaines and Lula Kemper Gaines.Funeral service were held Wednesday, January 4, 2016, at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
