Carlisle County Fiscal Court Meeting held

BARDWELL- The Carlisle County Fiscal Court met in regular session Tuesday December 17.

Those attending were County Judge/Executive Greg Terry, County Court Clerk Michael Toon, Magistrates Burley Mathis, Sonny Pearson, Lloyd Presson, Attorney Mike Hogancamp, Secretary Brandi Webb, Treasure Susan Bailey, 911 Director Josh Glover, Ambulance Director Wayne Floyd, Transportation Office Ronnie Owens, Visitors included PADD Rep. Jeremy Buchanan, Gordon Henshaw, Tracey Bracewell with Natur Chem, Sara Bennett with the Carlisle County Weekly, and Lilly Morefield with the Carlisle County News.

Judge Terry called the meeting to order at 9:30AM and welcomed everyone for attending.

After a motion the minutes of the previous meeting were approved.

Ambulance Report; Floyd stated that he just finished critical care classes and that a lot of material was covered in a short time. He stated the information he learned will mean a lot to the county and that he is grateful to the Fiscal Court for paying for the classes and allowing him attend.

Jail Report; Owens stated the county has 4 inmates in Hickman County Detention Center and 2 in Ballard County.

Road Report; Terry stated that the county received $12,000 for pick-up service and that it is received each year. Also during the road report Tracey Bracewell with Natur Chem spraying stated that he would like to continue spraying for the county and that if anyone has any complaints or concerns to please let him know about it. He also stated that he will spray the brush killer again this year and that it may have been to late in the year last year but he will get it sprayed earlier and with no additional charge.

Terry stated that Emergency Management Director Carissa Viniard was in Frankfort at a conference.

911 and Solid Waste Report; Glover briefed on the new phone system stating that he is sending information to the company and they are building the system. He stated that the system should be ready in March or April. He also stated he will be getting quotes on a new chair to replace an old one at the dispatch office.

New Business approved included County Clerks 2014 Budget, the County Clerks 2014 salaries, and a loan to the County Clerk too meet his first payroll for January. Toon stated he has to 0 out the clerk’s account the end of the year.

Other motions approved were the Treasures Monthly Report, Transfers and to approve and pay claims.
