Carlisle County Fiscal Court Meeting held

BARDWELL - The Carlisle County Fiscal Court met in regular session Tuesday February 18, 2014.

Those attending were County Judge/Executive Greg Terry, County Court Clerk Michael Toon, Magistrates Burley Mathis, Sonny Pearson, Lloyd Presson, Secretary Brandi Webb, Attorney Mike Hogancamp, Emergency Management Coordinator Carissa Viniard, County Road Supervisor Jerry Bowman, Coroner Steve Freeman, Visitors included, Gordon Henshaw, Sara Bennett with the Carlisle County Weekly, and Lilly Morefield with the Carlisle County News.

Judge Terry called the meeting to order at 9:30AM and welcomed everyone for attending.

A motion made by Pearson with a 2nd by Presson was carried to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.

Ambulance Report: Terry stated that Wayne was out on a run and could not be at the meeting but that everything is going good with the Ambulance Service.

Coroner Report: Freeman stated that Deputy Coroner Bridgett Choat received her training last week.

Emergency Management: Vniard stated that everything has been quite and going good with the service.

Road Report; County Road Supervisor Jerry Bowman stated that most all the ice is gone but that there are many pot holes, and that the road crews are working to patch the holes around the county but that it is costly. Terry stated he hopes to get some funding to help with the cost.

A motion made by Presson and 2nd by Pearson to approve the sheriff’s monthly report and the profits and loans was approved.

Judge Executive Greg Terry stated that everything is good with the 911 and that Josh could not attend the meeting. He also updated on the spring dumpsters stating that the county may not have the funds to have the dumpsters out as long as previous year but may have them for a week or so.

New Business included motions to approve resolution for leasing $25,000 for KACO for a sheriff’s car. Also approved was the Treasure monthly report and Clerk’s quarterly report, and to approve amendment for calendar budget 2013.

The Transfers and to approve and Pay Claims were approved.

The meeting was adjourned.
