Cathy Marie Turner 53, of Bardwell, KY passed away at 6:50am Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mrs. Cathy Was born in Clinton, KY on May 21, 1962. She was a certified nursing assistant and a member of Bardwell Baptist Church. Survivors include Husband , Harold Edward Turner of Bardwell ; mother, Thelma Walker Jones of Paducah; two daughters, Tonya Felts of Paducah and Sheri Holder of Bardwell; one son, James "Buster" Holder of Columbus; one sister, Rita Shrodes of Bardwell; three brothers, Gary Holder of Bardwell, Jimmy Holder of Paducah, and Roy Holder of Paducah; seven grandchildren. Preceding her is death was her father, Cecil J. Holder. Funeral Services were held at 2:00pm Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery. Margaret Bevill, age 88 passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 at Paris Healthcare and Rehab in Paris, TN. Graveside service was held at 2:30PM Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Maplewood Cemetery with Gary Collier officiating. She was born February 5, 1927 in Paris, TN to the late Chester C. and Ruby McClure Bevill. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Preceded by sisters: Eva Bevill, Verleen Bomar, Christine Dunlap, Mary Jane Shankle, Norma Griggs and one preceded at birth; brothers: Herbert Bevill, Rupert Bevill, Robert Bevill and Chester Givins (raised in her home as a brother) preceded in 1977. Margaret attended Baptist and Methodist Churches. She retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant and also from Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris. She was a personal private caregiver.
Pastor Jerry L. Northam, 71, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, went home to be the Lord Monday, September 28, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven, Mississippi. He was a former resident of Obion County. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.
Mr. Billy Bryan, 84 of Clinton passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. He was a member of Clinton First United Methodist Church and was a retired banker. He is survived by his wife, Donna Poe Bryan of Clinton, daughter, Lori Allen of Clinton; son, Barry Bryan of Paducah, step-son Anthony Poe of Madisonville, step-daughter, Darla Turner of Clinton, one brother, Jackie Bryan of Como, MS, one sister, Sherry Jones of Union City, TN, 3 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. His parents were Woodrow and Virginia Bugg Bryan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Jean Bryan. Graveside services were held Monday, September 28, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dustin Cunningham officiating. Christina Marie Swindler, age 44, of Mayfield, KY died at 6:45 AM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at her residence. Christina was a registered nurse. Survivors include her daughter - Erica Cash Davis and son-in-law Nicholas Robert Davis of Murray; son - Chase Tanner French of Murray; mother - Zoe Ann Burnett of Mayfield; father & step-mother - Joseph Tommy & Pam Cash of Paducah; brother and sister - in - law - Bryan & Kristy Lynn Cash of Mayfield; sister - Kamber Cash of Calvert City; and grandmother - Mary Jo Wyatt of Mayfield. Graveside Memorial services for Christina were held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2105 at the St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm with Father Darrell Venters officiating.
Winona June (Curry) McCord, 97, of Union City died at Golden Living Center Sept. 25, 2015. Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 at Beulah Cemetery near Union City, with the Rev. Chip Davis and Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was born July 8, 1918, in Union City, daughter of the late Alginon Sidney and Maude (Davis) Curry. She married O.B. McCord Nov. 6, 1937. He passed away Jan. 30, 2002. She was a retired ward clerk at the former Obion County General Hospital and was a member of Union City First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Morris of Union City; five grandchildren and the spouse of one, Brenda Hutchens, Andrew Morris, Jacob Morris, Joey Morris and Ginger and Jamie Powell, all of Union City; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine Hutchens, Hope Powell and Lydia Pruitt; and her sister-in-law, Katherine Curry. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Morris; her sister, Firry Lou Argo; her stepbrother, Robert Curry; her stepsister, Mary Ann Curry; and her infant brother.
Mr. Monty Dale Clark, 60 of Clinton passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at his residence. He was a member of Clinton First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #131, and the Fraternal Order of Police. He retired from the Kentucky State Police working for Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. He is survived by his wife, Jenera Stroud Clark of Clinton, daughter, Melinda Dell Coates and son, James Edward "Jamie" Clark, both of Clinton, 2 sisters, Cindy Edwards of Clinton, Tracey Clark Davis of Clinton, 2 brothers, Michael Clark of Clinton and Clifford Clark of Wingo, and 7 grandchildren. His parents were Virgil Powell Clark and Dema Lane Rushing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Virgil Clark and sister, Maria Clark. Funeral services were held Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Rocky James and Rev. Stan Waldon officiating. Burial followed in the Clinton Cemetery. Service for Mr. Floyd (Mutt) Cannon age 86, were held September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church in Bradford, TN. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Trenton, TN. Mr. Floyd leaves one son, Jerome Cannon of Trenton, TN. He also leaves two daughters, Gail Cannon of Greenfield, TN. and Yvonne(Steve)Gearin of Bradford, TN. He also leaves twelve grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Reba Laverne (Savage) Adams, 80, of Fulton died Sept. 27, 2015, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Cox officiating. Burial followed in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. She was born Sept. 2, 1935, in the Possum Trot community, daughter of the late W.T. and Mary Elizabeth (Ables) Savage. She married H.L. Adams in 1976. He passed away Sept. 1, 1980. She was a retired seamstress with the former Liggett's Factory in South Fulton, where she was employed for more than 30 years. She was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Ann and Steve Hailey of Union City, Faye and Danny Sullins of Salem, Ark., Barbie Tucker of Martin and Jane and Jay Krichten of New Oxford, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerry Savage of Pinson; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Savage and Willie Joe Savage.
Mr. James E. Palmer, 83, of Union City passed away 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Union City. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Chip Davis and Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Palmer was born September 14, 1932, in Hornbeak, son of the late U.L. and Jennie (Wisdom) Palmer. He married Jane (Hughes) Palmer September 23, 1955. She survives. Mr. Palmer had been employed at Burroughs Corporation in Plymouth, Michigan for 17 years and retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City after 25 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Lake Road Baptist Church. He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Syndi and Charlie Russ of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Sara Palmer of Truman, Arkansas; one sister, Wilmenia Rushing of Union City; one brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Fred and Lorene Thomas of Union City; one sister-in-law, Betty Palmer of Kenton; six grandchildren, Christi Field, Charles Alan Palmer, Jacob Palmer, Nicki Loven, James H. Denson and Angela Jo Minton; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lodenia Burden; and two brothers, Raymond O'Brian and Homer L. Palmer.
Mr. Jamie Joe Tucker, age 43, of Water Valley, KY died Thursday, September 24,2015. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, KY and was a mechanic. He had lived most of his life in this area. He is survived by his father, Joe Tucker of Farmington, IL, his fiancee, Tammie Buchanan of Water Valley, KY, three daughters, Amber Jo Tucker of Paris, TN, Lauren Augusta Hayden of Bowling Green, KY, Autumn Leigh Tucker of Fulton, KY, two sisters, Tracy Tucker and Julie Monroe both of Mapleton, IL, two brothers, Shawn Tucker of Washington DC and Buster Hainline of Fulton, KY. He was preceded in death by his mother Jo Ann (Smith) Fuchs, a brother Brandon Fuchs and a sister Brenda Fuchs. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Fulton City Park from 12 noon - 2 pm.
