Livingston County native, Cindy Miffin has a lot on her plate. Cindy opened Miffin’s Farm and Home Center in Smithland Kentucky in April 2007. Miffin’s specializes in farm products, small animal needs, vet supplies, as well as hardware, plumbing, tools and other supplies.

Cindy does bookkeeping, payroll, ordering supplies and anything that needs to be done around the store.

Cindy has lived in Livingston County since she was 10 years old and grew up on her parent’s cattle farm in Tiline. Cindy has never been married, has no children and puts all her energy into her business.

In 2007, the present building at 427 E. Adair St was available and Cindy thought it would be a perfect location for a business. She wanted to offer the community a place where they could purchase their farm and home needs without having to travel to surrounding cities. Cindy said, “I love working with this community and my goal is to supply the needs of the community while keeping as much business as possible in the county.”

Cindy graduated from Livingston Central High School and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Murray State University. Her business hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. The phone number is 270-928-1119. Stop by the store and let Cindy or one of her employees help you find what you need and if she does not have it she can special order some items.
