Citizens Deposit Bank to purchases school and property from City of Wickliffe

Wickliffe – After the April 4th Wickliffe City Hall meeting, the Council Members called for a special call meeting to discuss the sale of the school property to Citizens Deposit Bank (CDB). The Council Members invited Mayor Lynn Hopkins to the special call meeting. Hopkins was not present at the special call meeting.

According to Council Member David Phillips, It was decided at the meeting that the school and the property would be sold to CDB. Phillips also said that the bank will employ local people. After the meeting, Council Member Larry Hammett was asked by the Advance Yeoman about the school. Hammett replied, “Before the City of Wickliffe can sell a property, it has to be deemed a surplus.” Hammett also stated that this is a big plus for Wickliffe.
