First Community Bank of Western Kentucky held ribbon cutting

First Community Bank of Western Kentucky held a ribbon cutting at its La Center location on Friday, February 21st. FCB President Bruce Kimbell led attendees in prayer just prior to the ribbon cutting. Several community members and FCB representatives attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. Kreg Denton is the Senior Vice-President of the new La Center location, and Diana Blankenship is the Branch Manager

In a press release following Friday's event, Bruce Kimbell said FCB's recent completion of the acquisition of the former First Southern Bank branches in Wickliffe and Kevil has resulted in First Community now having three locations in the Ballard- West McCracken marketplace (Wickliffe, La Center and Kevil). He said the addition complements FCS's existing locations in Fancy Farm and Clinton.

"We are very excited about the opening of our La Center location as this office greatly enhances our presence in and around Ballard County. With the acquisition of the Kevil and Wickliffe offices of First Southern and our previous purchase of The Kevil Bank, our goal of bringing our brand of hometown banking to this area is moving forward," said Kimbell. "All we ask is that you give us a chance to be your bank."

Rachel Drummond, Marketing Director FCB, said the Wickliffe Branch will hold a celebratory event later in the spring to recognize the opening of FCB at the Wickliffe location. The event will mirror the Grand Opening of the Kevil Branch last summer, where members of the community were invited to come in and enjoy bar-b-qued hamburgers, chips, drinks, and cake.
