Friday fun at Bounce and Tease Hair Salon

By Pat Thomann, Editor

Owners of Bounce and Tease Hair Salon say that Friday is there favorite day. Not because it's the end of the week, but because two of their favorite clients will be there.

Shop owners, Samantha Ramage and Wade Chandler are celebrating their first year in the shop connected to the Levee Restaurant in Smithland. Samantha and Wade have known each other since kindergarten and went all through school together including their time at beauty school. They have been such good friends that they knew they wanted to be in business together and that dream finally came true.

On Friday Stephanie has two sisters who have a standing appointment. Viva Holmes will be 90 on December, 25, 2014 and her sister Mary Martha Wright just turned 85. Viva was born on Christmas Day and Mary Martha was born on Easter. The sisters have always been close, have traveled the world together and have many stories to tell.

Mary Martha's husband, graduated from engineering school in Louisville Kentucky and the two went to Texas where he was immediately hired by Exxon because of the training he had received in diesel engineering. While in Texas Mary Martha learned to play bridge and took up painting and she really is very good! Some of her paintings adorn the walls of Friendship Church at Gum Springs where both sisters are members.

Viva's first husband was on a ship at Pearl Harbor that was bombed and sank and also on three other ships that were bombed. Viva loves Kansas City baseball and dancing. At almost 90 she says she loves life and thanks God for every moment. The effervescent personalities of both ladies is contagious and fun to be involved in. They light up any room they enter. Samantha and Wade say the two ladies bring sunshine into the shop when they're there.

Bounce and Tease Hair Salon is a great place to go if you're looking for a beautiful look. Samantha and Wade can do haircuts, highlights and color, perms, wax and Samantha does manicures and pedicures. Although they have been asked about hair extensions, they do not do them. Men, women and children are all welcomed.

The shop is open Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM however, appointments can be scheduled for later in the evening.

You can reach Samantha or Wade at 270--928-3672 for an appointment but walk-ins are also welcome. Stop by and see them for a great new look and maybe you'll meet Viva and Mary Martha.
