Police searching for man after foot chase

by Paducah Police Department

Paducah police would like to interview a Ballard County man in connection with a foot chase Tuesday afternoon in Paducah's west end.

Officer Matt Jones clocked a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck on radar travelling 54 mph in a 35-mph zone on Friedman Lane about 3 p.m. Tuesday. He followed the truck to Pines Road, then to Whitney Drive, and saw it drive through a yard at Whitney Drive and Stonewall Drive. He attempted to stop the truck, but it continued onto Huntleigh Drive and pulled into the driveway of a home.

Jones said the truck left the driveway and traveled through the yard into a wooded area. When the truck attempted to pull through another yard, back onto Whitney Drive, it became stuck. The driver then fled on foot.

Jones chased the driver on foot, but lost him when he ran between houses, toward Buckner Lane. The driver was described as a white male wearing dark clothing and a brown jacket.

The truck is registered to Brian K. Doke, 42, of Wickliffe. Paducah police would like to talk with him regarding the truck and who might have been driving it at the time of Tuesday's incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550.
