Golf Cart riding approved in county during Carlisle County Fiscal Court Meeting

BARDWELL‑ The Carlisle County Fiscal Court meeting was held on October 15.  Those attending were Judge/ Executive Greg Terry, Magistrates Burley Mathis, Lloyd Presson, Sonny Pearson, Treasure Susan Bailey, Secretary Brandi Webb, Attorney Mike Hogancamp, Ambulance Director Wayne Floyd, 911and Solid Waste Director Josh Glover, Sheriff Steve Perry, Carlisle County Clerk Michael Toon, Carlisle County Emergency Management Director Carissa Viniard, Jailer Ronnie Owens, Visitors included PADD Rep. Marcel Purcell, Gordon Henshaw, Sara Bennett with the Carlisle Weekly, and Lilly Morefield with the Carlisle County News.

The meeting was called to order at 9:30AM, Judge Terry welcomed everyone for attending.

After the roll call and pledge of allegiance a motion made and approved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting.

Ambulance Director Wayne Floyd updated on the ambulance service and stated that everything is going good.

Carissa Viniard Director of Emergency Management updated on funding and grants she is waiting on.

Jail Report, Owens stated there is 5 inmates in Hickman and 4 in Ballard Detention Center.

 During the Road Report a motion was made and carried to accept a   resolutions and contract for flex Funding in the amount of $159,654.00 and a resolution for discretionary funding in the amount of $250,000.00.

During Sheriff Report a motion was made and carried to accept the Sheriff’s September Monthly Report and the Quarterly Report.

911 and Solid Waste Glover stated that a representative with Central Kentucky Network will be here and will go over everything concerning the service. He also stated that he has submitted all the bills for the Front Street project.

New Business included a motion made and approved to pass the second resolution for Extension /Ambulance building. Also second reading of Ordinance #13-10-1 for the use of Golf Carts on roads in the county. To ride golf carts can only be road on streets that are in a 35 MPH speed limit and operators have to have a valid drivers license. 

Other motion made and approved were the transfers, claims, and a motion to go into closed session.

The next Fiscal Court Meeting will be held Tuesday November 5.
