Livingston County EMT Refresher Course
On Saturday March 15th Livingston County First Responders participated in an Emergency Medical Technician refresher course at the Grand Lakes Fire Department in Grand Rivers. Members of the Livingston County Fire, Police and Ambulance services participated in the training. By their participation in this course, Livingston County residents are assured that they will receive the best care possible in an emergency.
The PHI Air Medical Flight Crew brought their Air Ambulance Helicopter for the participants to examine and to become familiar with the services they provide.
The PHI Air Ambulance provides medical transportation from the site of an accident or medical emergency to the medical facility needed. The Flight Crew of the Air Ambulance includes personnel trained in patient care including Cardiac Specialist, EMS, ER, high risk OB, NICU, Pediatric, Respiratory Therapy and Trauma. PHI Cares is a program offering the public the peace of mind that if an emergency arises, they can be on scene in minutes. Membership is easy and affordable starting at just $50 per year per household for members with medical insurance and $100 without insurance. PHI Cares will accept the insurance payment as “payment in full” for any medical transport necessary.
