Livingston Ledger - Livingston Central High School and Livingston County Middle School attended camp at Marshall County High School July17-19. There were 12 squads in attendance from the surrounding area that came to learn cheers, dances, stunts and chants.
Livingston Central High School brought home Blue Ribbons and a "Spirit Stick" and the coveted "Traditions Plaque". This plaque is given to the squad who exhibits the most school spirit, maintains a positive attitude, ability to comprehend and execute the camp material quickly, shows continued commitment and is able to work together as a team. This is the award most sought after at camp and I'm so proud of the Cheerleaders and that this is the overall impression they gave the UCA Staff.
Livingston Central had the following girls nominated to the UCA All American Cheer Squad: Jessie Hopkins, Jaden Hopkins, Audrey Quinn, Kendrick Crass, Kaylin Travis and Taylor Henning.
Livingston County Middle School brought home Blue Ribbons, a "Spirit Stick" as well as 2nd place in Cheer and 3rd place in "Game Day Performance". These girls worked very hard this week and it showed in their final performances.
Livingston County Middle School girls nominated to the UCA All American Cheer Squad included: Emily Owens, Raven McGregor, Adrianna Sexton, and Hailey Chittenden. Emily Owens was named to the All American Squad.
I'm so very proud of both schools and the effort they gave me this week. I see a lot of talent coming up and am very excited to start working with them at the high school level.
