Thomas “Sonny” LynchMr. Thomas “Sonny” Lynch, 71, of Marion, KY, passed away July 23,2013, at Crittenden Health System in Marion, Ky.  He was a member of the Smithland Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kirk Lynch of Marion, Ky; two sons, Michael Lynch of Smithland, Ky, and Timothy Lynch of Paducah, Ky; two step sons, Stephen Belt of Marion, Ky, and George Belt of Marion, Ky; one step daughter, Lisa Champion of Benton, Ky; one sister, Judy Coleman of MO; and three grandchildren, Zachary Lynch, Emily Lynch, and Michelle Lynch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edith Rhea Lynch; one son, Greg Lynch; and two brothers, Larry Lynch and Roger Lynch.  Condolences may also be made online at boydfuneraldirectors.com.

Almanzo J. VasseurAlmanzo J. Vasseur 29, Of Marion, passed away August 1, 2013 at the Crittenden County Hospital. Mr. Vasseur is survived by his wife, Caroline Vasseur of Marion KY; daughter, Destny Vasseur of Marion KY; 1 brother, Willie Vasseur of Marion KY and Faron Sigers; sisters Linda Vincent of Marion KY, Tammy Mclean and Rose Shelton both of Sebree KY, Rebecca Wells of Providence, Scarlett Ispock of Providence, Rhonda Deckert of FL and Connie Bowers of Marion, KY; father, Ron Deckert of Marion, KY. Mr. Vasseur is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Kay Deckert. Funeral Services for Almanzo Vasseur were held  August 4, 2013 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. Burial was at McMican Cemetery.

Charles David Borders SrCharles David Borders Sr., 70, of Grand Rivers died Thursday, August 1, 2013, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. He was a retired journeyman electrician from IBEW Local 816. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Grand Rivers, where he served as trustee chairman. He is survived by his wife, Andrea K. (Holmes) Borders; three daughters, Kimberly Borders of Apopka, Fla., Karen Sullivan of Stratham, N.H., and Sheri Kimball of Wilton, Conn.; one son, Michael Winship of Lecanto, Fla.; one brother, Russell Borders of Pinckney, Mich.; one sister, Erdene Hughes of Auburn; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles David Borders Jr.; and one brother.
His parents were Delbert Borders and Erline (Fitzhugh) Borders. Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Collier Funeral Home of Benton is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn TracyCarolyn M. Tracy, 71, of Paducah died August 2, 2013 at McCracken Nursing and Rehab in Paducah. Mrs. Tracy was a member of East Baptist Church in Paducah and a retired Bank Book Keeper at Livingston County Bank. Surviving are 1-Son, Mike Tracy of Titusville, Fl. 1-Brother, Keith Johnson of Symsonia, 4-Grandsons, 1-Niece, 1-Nephew. She was preceded in death by her Parents- Raliegh "Dinks" Johnson and Edith Mae Hudson Johnson, 1-Granddaughter. Service will be at 2:00 Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel, with Tom Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Groves Chapel Cemetery in Tiline.  Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.smithfc.com

Daniel Kent TopperMr. Daniel Kent Topper, 57, of Hampton, KY,  passed away peacefully at his home, August 3, 2013.
His hobbies included, fishing, hunting , and arrowhead hunting.  He was employed by Ingram Barge Company for 21 years, on the Tennessee river. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Johnna Topper; two sons, Jonathan Daniel Topper, and Andrew Reeves Topper; one brother, Chuck Topper, and his wife Diane of Benton, KY; one sister, Barbara Hook, and her husband Cleatis of Grand Rivers, KY; several nieces and nephews; and beloved miniature dachshund, named Puppy Dog. He was Preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruth McNeely Topper; and one brother, Andy Topper. Funeral services were held August 6, 2013 at Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem, with the Rev’s. Tim Fouts and Nick Forsythe officiating. Burial followed in Lola Pentecostal Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to: Seaman’s Church Institute Center, 111 Kentucky Avenue, Paducah, KY  42003. Condolences may also be left online at boydfuneraldirectors.com.
