Mr. Ralph Collin Barnes, 90, of Salem, KY, passed away October 22, 2013, at his home. Ralph was a heavy equipment operator of Local 181; a logger and farmer; and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  Mr. Barnes was a World War II veteran. He is survived by five children, Dennis Lee Barnes, and his wife Sue of Salem, KY, James Barnes, and his wife Karen of Tolu, KY, Glynne Barnes, and his wife Janet of Salem, KY, Carolyn Howard, and her husband Steve of Salem, KY, Shelia Wilson, and her husband Charlie of Salem, KY; one sister, Margaret Fox of Michigan; 18 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, William Clayton Barnes; one daughter, Marilyn Louise Nesbitt; one sister, Elva Franklin; one brother, Robert Barnes; his step-mother, Ethel Malcom Barnes; and his parents, Willie clayton and Ruby Kirk Barnes. Funeral services were held October 24, 2013 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors, with Rev’s. Herbert Alexander and Chuck Ellis officiating.  Burial followed in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Lois Elizabeth Dameron, 96, of Marion, KY, passed away October 22, 2013, at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services in Salem. Mrs. Dameron was a member of Repton Baptist Church, and a Co-Owner of Dameron’s BBQ in Marion. She is survived by one brother, Corbitt Lynn of Washington State; one daughter in law, Doris Dameron of Marion, KY; four grandchildren, Ann Allcock of Marion, KY, Kim Arnett of Murray, KY, Kelley Suchman of Alabama, Vicki Dameron of Lexington, KY; seven great grandchildren; and three special caretakers, Iva Day, Sharon Winters, and Deanie Tabor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan T. Dameron; two sons, Keith and Paul Dameron; one sister, Doris Schnell; three brothers, Frank, Mickey, and Reggie Lynn; and her parents, Ersel and Gertrude Franklin Lynn. Graveside funeral services were held October 24, 2013, at 1PM, at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Gideons International, PO Box 304, Salem, KY  42078.  Condolences may be left online at boydfuneraldirectors.com.

Kenneth R Myers, age, 78, died October 20, 2013 at Baptist Health Paducah. Kenneth was born September 6, 1935 in Marion, KY to the late William Louis Myers & Hazel May Hayes Myers.  He retired from Western Baptist Hospital where he worked in the maintenance department.  Kenneth was a veteran of U.S. Navy and got to see all three of his sons serve in the U.S. Navy.  His son, Donald passed away while serving during Desert Storm.  Kenneth loved to bowl, feed and watch the hummingbirds, and feeding raccoons.  He and his late wife Joanne Kathryn Myers, who died in May of this year were married for fifty-six years. Kenneth is survived by two sons,  Michael Myers  and wife, Missy of Marion, KY, John Myers and wife, Beth of Lone Oak, KY; one sister, Hazel Lee Ford of Portage, IN; three brothers Delmar Myers of Portage, IN, Wayne Myers of Sullivan, KY and J.D. Myers of Marion, KY; four grandchildren,  Emily and Kaitlyn Myers of Marion, KY, Chip and Luke Myers of Lone Oak, KY, several nieces and nephews.Preceding in death was his wife, Joanne Myers;  one son, Donald Myers; parents, William Louis & Hazel Myers; one sister, Jean Aguilera and one brother, William Myers. Services were held October 25,  2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Earlene Boaz Mitchell, 83 of Paducah passed away October 25, 2013 at her home.  Earlene was a member of the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a 1948 graduate of Lone Oak High School.  She was a charter member of Coca-Cola Collection Club.  Earlene enjoyed people and being able to entertain, baking and making jellies to share with others and took great pride in her yard and flowers.  She enjoyed her dog, “Bella” and telling stories about her. Survivors include twin sister Ernestene (Perryman) Sellars of Reidland, KY, sister, Linda (Randall) Boggess of Paducah, KY, five nieces,  Lisa (Max) Hampton of Boaz, KY, Rita (Keith) Crouch of Cookville, Tn, Vanessa Boaz (Matthew) Dobring of Bowling Green, KY, Marlene (James) Wallace of Paducah, Lynette (Wilbur) Neff of Benton, KY;  five nephews,  Keith (Diane) Boggess of Exton, PA, Kevin (Joellyn) Boggess of Springhill, TN, Bob Brannon of Nashville, TN, Gary Mitchell of Benton, KY and Julian (Ginger) Mitchell of Paducah, KY;  several great- nieces and great- nephews. Preceding in death was husband, Alfred “Al” Mitchell;  parents, William Earl Boaz & Mary Josephine Starr Boaz; brother,  Gene Boaz and nephew, Warren Boaz. Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev.
