Mollie Cathern Murray Spencer, 78 of Grand Rivers, Kentucky died on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at her home. She was a homemaker and member of Pathway Baptist Church. Mrs. Spencer was also involved with Awana, the Ladies Prayer Group, and the Grief Committee. Born Monday, August 19, 1935 in Manchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Murray and the late Unice Hubbard Murray. Surviving are sons: Daryl A. Spencer of Grand Rivers, KY, James W. Spencer of Grand Rivers, KY and O. Dale Spencer of Calvert City, KY; daughters, Karen J. Spencer Nelson of Calvert City, KY and Cindy R. Spencer Walton of Calvert City, KY, sister, Rosa Metz of Cincinatti, OH; 22 grand children; 14 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years: Carl Arvis Spencer; sons: Edward Earl Spencer and Robert Lee Spencer; brothers: Vernon Murray, Theodore Murray and Arther Murray, and sister, Alma Jean Moore. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Pathway Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Donald officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Pathway Baptist Church, Calvert City, KY.

Mrs. Evelyn Lockhart Lee, 79, of Salem, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Salem Springlake Nursing and Rehibilitation Center in Salem. She is survived by her husband, R.E. Lee of Salem, KY; two sons, Danny Lockhart of Salem, KY, and Stan Lockhart of Lebanon, TN; one brother, Charlie Binkley of Reidland, KY; one sister, Freda Shirley of Indiana; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and her parents, Charles and Juanita Bridwell Binkley. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 1PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors with the Rev. Herbert Alexander officiating. Kem Joe McDowell, age 58, of Benton, KY, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Kenneth McDowell. He is survived by his mother Florence McDowell; daughter: Allison McDowell of Calvert City, KY; sister Sherion Tate and husband Jerry of Paducah, KY and neice Jackie Frazier and husband Brian of Gilbertsville, KY. Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends on, Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held January 24, 2014 at 12:30p.m. Bro. Joel Frizzell will be officiateing. Interment will follow at Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY

Gleaford Earl Easley, 91, of Marion, KY died Wednesday at Crittenden Health Systems. He was a member of Marion Church of God. Surviving are his grandchildren, Brett Owen of Marion, KY, Brent Owen of Marshall County, KY, Kelly Johnson of Paducah, KY and Karla Lawrence of Paducah, KY; brothers, Willard Easley of Marion, KY and Harry Easley of Eddyville, KY; sisters, Lucy Tedrick of Marion, KY, Wanda Ditty of Springfield, OH, Bonnie Hartley and Lula Gilmore both of Nashville, TN; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rugena Owen; parents, Lorenza Alfred and Minnie Latricia Easley; 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Services are scheduled for 11 AM Sunday January 26, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. Mr. Gregory Edward Lawless, 51, of Marion, KY, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at Livingston Hospital and healthcare Services in Salem. Gregory was a member of Ambassadors for Christ Church in Marion. Gregory had several hobbies that he loved such as studying the bible, duck hunting, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. He is survived by his wife, Angie Lawless of Marion, KY; three children, Ellis Lawless of Sturgis, KY, Justin Lawless of Burna, KY, Michelle Lawless of Marion, KY; two step-children, Nikki Croft and Jacob McDaniel both of Marion, KY; his parents, Jesse and Pauline Lawless of Salem, KY; one sister, Karen Roberts and her husband Wendell of Ventura, CA; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Kane Lawless. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 12 Noon, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors, with Rev. Kenny Downs officiating. Mattie Mae Paris, 86 of Smithland died at 3:35 pm Friday, January 24, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. Mrs. Paris was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Barnes of Smithland; her son, Greg Paris of Smithland; two granddaughters, Sherry Harris of Smithland and Sheila Barnes of Ledbetter; one great granddaughter, Tristan Myers of Smithland; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers. Her parents were Will and Matt Reynolds. Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, with Bro. Fred Lowrance officiating. Burial will follow at Scotts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
