Jewell Dean Pugh, 89, of Marion, KY died Saturday at Salem Springlake Care Center. He was an Army Veteran and member of Cave Springs General Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Lemah Pugh of Marion, KY; son, Mike Pugh of Burna, KY; daughters, Dale Glore of Lola, KY, Shelia Bishop of Smithland, KY, Rita Shakles of Smithland, KY, Sandra Crowley of Ledbetter, KY; sisters, Pauline Willings of Paducah, KY, Zora Davis of Ledbetter, KY, Sue Tabor of Paducah, KY and Mary Pugh of Marion, KY; brother, Donald Pugh of Marion, KY; several grand, great grand and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Pugh; daughter, Barbara Easley; grandson, Jamie Pugh; parents, Virgil and Agnes Pugh; 1 brother and 4 sisters. Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday February 4, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anna Mae McDowell, 80, of Smithland, KY, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa, KY. She was a member of Birdsville Baptist Church. She is survived by three children, Barry Allen McDowell of Kuttawa, KY, Shelia Ann Clarke of Salem, KY, Debra Lynn Johnston of White Plains, KY; eight brothers and sisters, Dorsie Riepe of Metropolis, IL, Mary Perino of Ledbetter, KY, Tommy Sharpe of Florida, Phyllis Thompson of Reidland, KY, Janet Heath of Sharpe, KY, Darlene Rogers of Mayfield, KY, Kenneth Sharpe of Marion, KY, and Charlotte Potts of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert F. McDowell; two sisters and one brother. Her parents were Lewis Elmer and Annie Youple Phillips Sharpe. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 11AM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem, KY, with Rev. Mike Grimes officiating. Mr. Steven Ray Tramble, 49, of Burna, KY, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Steven was of the Southern Baptist Faith. Steven was a member of the Professional Kennel Club. He is survived by his father, Roy Tramble and step mother, Christi Tramble of Burna, KY; three brothers, Greg Tramble, Mike Tramble, and Shawn Tramble; two step-brothers, Scott Lofton, and Cory Lofton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eullabelle Tramble; and a brother, Jeff Tramble. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 2, 2014, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors, with Bro’s James Oats and Tim Fouts officiating. Burial will follow in Dyer Hill Cemetery.
