Mrs. Dorothy N. Thompson, 79, of Burna, KY, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. She was of Baptist faith. She is survived by two brothers, Donnie McElmurray of Paducah, KY and Norris McElmurray of Burna, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Mitchell; one brother, Curtis McElmurray and her parents, Coy and Lela Dickerson McElmurray. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 2PM, at Old Salem Cemetery with interment to follow. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem.

Mr. Manson Page, 78, of Grand Rivers, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home. Mr. Page retired from Reed’s Crushed Stone/Vulcan Materials after 26 years. He is survived by three children, Richard Page and his wife Amy of Grand Rivers, KY, Johnny Page and his wife Connie of Grand Rivers, KY, and Judy Peek Lee and her husband Eric of Hopkinsville, KY; one sister, Eadie Ann Knight of Dover, TN; grandchildren, J.J. and Samantha Page, Sydney and Kennady Peek, Whitney, Jon and Alan Lee; and one great grandchild, Hazel Marie Page. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel LaVerne Page; eight brothers and sisters; Josh Page, Emma Mae Hicks, Elton Page, Ora Clifton, Manuel Page, Dotson Page, King Page, Goldie Page; and his parents, Carter Franklin and Kathryn Page. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 1PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors with Bro. Troy Newcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, KY. Friends may call from 5 to 8PM, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105; or an animal shelter of the donors’ choice. Condolences may also be left online at boydfuneraldirectors.com.

Esther "Boots" Holley, 83, of Ledbetter, died Thursday, February 20th, 2014 at 10:18 am at Lourdes Hospital. She had worked as a waitress at Little Castle Restaurant and was former president of Fraternal Order of Eagles-Ladies Auxiliary. Boots was a volunteer and quilter for the Bikers Toy Run. She is survived by two sons, J.B. Conner of Columbus, OH and Randell Conner of Ledbetter; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Robert Spann; a granddaughter; two sisters and one brother. Her parents were Robert and Junie Belcher. Memorial services will be held at 7pm Monday evening at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Memorial visitation will begin at 4pm Monday. Contributions may be made to Bikers Toy Run, 4965 Lovelacville Rd. 42001.

Anna Louis Davidson, 88, of Birdsville died on Thursday February 20, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Paducah. Mrs. Davidson was a homemaker. Surviving is one son, Billy M. Davidson of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Mary Mayhugh of Kuttawa, KY; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie L. Davidson; two sons, Charles F. Davidson and Alvin E. Davidson; one brother; and two sisters. Her parents were John Campbell and Rose Mitchell. Service will be on Sunday February 23, 2014 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland with the Rev. Bennie Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Birdsville Cemetery in Birdsville, KY. Friends may call from 11:00am-2:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland in in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Edward Prince, 59, of Grand Rivers, KY, died at 8:13 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. He was a mechanical engineer with ‘ITW’ Illinois Tool Works and a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. Thomas is survived by his wife, Shalin Rene Lassiter Prince; daughter, Kristen Lynn Domke of Paducah; brother, Stephen Paul Prince of Mayville, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Mallie Louise Bumpous Prince. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Cory Holt officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: American Heart Association, Kentucky Region, 240 Whittington Parkway Louisville, KY 40222.
