Mrs. Betty Belt, 58, of Joy, KY, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at Baptist Health of Paducah. She attended Salem Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, Sammie Belt of Joy, KY; a daughter, Tammy Belt of Joy, KY; a sister, Kathy Curnel of Marion, KY; two brothers, Everett Curry of Marion, KY and David George of Grand Rivers, KY; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Riley Curry; her mother Lovine Trail Curry George and step-father, James George; and a brother, Bobby Curry. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2pm, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors with Rev. Jr. Deason officiating. Burial will follow in Carrsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8pm on Friday, October 3, 2014, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem. Mrs. Onia Ophelia Harris Shuecraft Damron, 92, of Salem, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Salem Springlake Nursing Home. Ophelia was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by four sons, Danny Shuecraft and his wife, Kathy of Marion, KY; William "Bill" Damron and his wife, Vonna of Salem; Stanley Shuecraft and his wife, Debbie of Micco, FL; and Jimmy Damron and his wife, Debbie of Salem, KY; two daughters, Brenda Dunkerson and her husband, Gary of Salem, KY; Pam Champion and her husband, Kenny of Marion, KY; one sister, Betty Kinnis of Marion, KY; one daughter-in-law, Wanda Damron of Salem KY; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by first husband, Marvin Shuecraft; her second husband, Earl Damron; one son, Joe Damron; her parents, Forest and Augusta Lloyd Harris; five brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2014, at 11AM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors with Bro's Chris Damron and Steve Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Salem, KY. Hermie Jean Martin Small, 81, of Paducah, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 3, 2014, with her family by her side. A native of Smithland, KY, Mrs. Small graduated from Livingston County High School and Murray State University. She worked for Bellsouth for fifteen years and then taught in the Marshall County School System at both North Marshall and Marshall County High Schools. After her "retirement" she taught at Paducah Community College (WKTCT) for several years. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She is survived by a son, Stuart Small, of Paducah; a daughter, Sharon Moore and husband Michael, of Paducah; a sister, Ophelia Fletcher, of Paducah; granddaughters, Jessica West and husband Derrick, Ashley Wright and husband Sam, Nicole Phelps and husband Luke, and Anna Peck and husband Justin, all of Paducah, Amy Hefner and husband Matt, of Kansas City, KS; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty three years, William R. Small; her parents, Imogene and Hermie Martin; two sisters and one brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Meghan Holland and Rev. Nick Jaeger will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the service hour of 1:30 pm at the church in Fletcher Hall. Everett Leon Tabor age 70 of Salem, KY passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his home. He was a retired coal miner and attended Creekside Baptist Church. Tabor is survived by his wife, Patsy Locke Tabor, Salem, KY; daughter Sharon (Jack) Lynch, Marion, KY; son, Eric Tabor, Rock Hill, SC; stepdaughter, Renae (Wayne) McDowell, Marion, KY: stepson, Kenny Locke, Marion, KY; brother, Larry Tabor, Marion, KY; four sisters, Bonnie West, Helenwood, TN; Thelma Jones, Fredonia, KY; Marilyn Wynn, Salem, KY; Rita Tyrie, Salem, KY; four grandchildren, four step grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and two very special and loyal friends Danny Lockhart and Ronnie Hearell. He was preceded in death by parents, Lee Everett and Nellie Hamby Tabor ; first wife, Jean Dalton Tabor; daughter, Sheila Scarbrough and brother, Coy Tabor. Graveside funeral services will be held at Whites Chapel Cemetery Tuesday,October 7, 2014 at 1 P.M. with Bro. Roger Holloman officiating. Friends may call at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY on Tuesday between the hours of 11 A.M. and 12:30 P.M.
