Joe R. Lindsey, 64 of Salem, KY passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at 12:26 a.m. at Livingston County Hospital. Joe was of Church of Christ faith and owner of Lindsey Refrigeration. He was a beloved husband and father and enjoyed being with his family. He was a master conservationist, loving the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe had a passion for HOOAH "Healing Outside of a Hospital" (for Wounded Warriors from Ft. Campbell). Survivors include his wife of 44 years, DeRetha "Dee Dee" June Shaw Lindsey, two daughters, Jennifer Jo Green and husband George of Reidland, KY and Stacey Dee Kimball and Jerry of Lone Oak, KY; one brother, Bill Ed Lindsey of Sharpe, KY; brother-in-law, John Shaw and wife Wanda of Lone Oak, KY; one niece, Diana Marie Shaw and great nephew, Oliver Shaw. Mr. Phillip Wayne Champion, 60, of Ledbetter, KY, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, KY. Mr. Champion was a 28 year employee of USEC and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Josh Champion and wife Natasia of Cadiz, KY; his brother Darrel Champion and wife Cathie of Reidland, KY; one grandson, Charles Gavin Champion; one granddaughter, Christian Faith Champion; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Christine Swinford Champion; one brother, Johnnie Champion; two sisters, Brenda Champion and Anita Adams; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Skye Champion. Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Boyd Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Mr. William "Bill" Howard Spencer, 84 years old, of Livingston County, KY, passed away at 9:04 PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Riversbend Retirement Home in Kuttawa, KY. Mr. Spencer was a veteran of the United States Army. He owned and operated Livingston County Farm and Home Supply during the 70's as well as being a successful farmer. He also owned many rental properties in Ledbetter. He was a kind and loving father and husband. He is survived by three children, Debbie and spouse Casper Hosick of Eddyville, KY; Randy Spencer and Steve Spencer of Godfry, IL; two grandsons, William Chris Hosick of Smithland, KY and Jason Hosick of Eddyville, KY; as well as two great grandchildren, Gauge Hosick and Jessica Hosick both of Smithland, KY. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Spencer; parents, William and Margaret Heines Spencer. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Boyd Funeral Directors with Rev. John East officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. He is at last in peace but will be greatly missed by his family.
