Erika Elizabeth Crider age 86 of Lexington, KY formerly of Marion, KY passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was the former owner of the Coffee Shop in Marion, KY. Mrs. Crider is survived by a daughter, Monika Shields, Lexington, KY; son, Michael Crider, Marion, KY; two granddaughters; one grandson; one great granddaughter ; two sisters, Eva Brodtmann, Wedel, Germany and Gisela Juechter, Cologne, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Allen Crider and parents, Georg Venzke and Hedwig Zierke. Funeral services were June 30, 2015 at Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY with burial in Piney Fork Cemetery.
Gayle Marie Cornett Coleman, 57, of Cerulean died Saturday, June 27, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Coleman was a private sitter and nurse's aide. She was a member of Macedonia Faith Fellowship Ministries International in Eddyville. She is survived by two sons, Granville Lee Cornett of Hopkinsville and Richard Dexter Coleman of Roaring Springs; two daughters, Donerica Lynn Coleman of Cadiz and Frankie Coleman of Hopkinsville; three brothers, Willie Cornett, James Cornett and Donald Cornett, all of Lexington; one sister, Rachel Jessup of Cerulean; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Frank Coleman. Her parents were Elijah and Donnie Mae Williams Cornett, and Juanita Wright. Services will be at noon on today, July 1, 2015, at King's Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon today at the funeral home.
Mark E. Hall, 84, of Gilbertsville died at 6 a.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes hospital in Paducah. Mr. Hall was retired from the GAF Corp. and was a member of North Marshall Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Harper Hall; four children, Cathey Melton of Calvert City, Rick Hall of Benton, Lesa Burkeen of Benton, and Shari Zaccaro of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Ivanel Dobesh of Gilbertsville and Ruth Davis of Benton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. His parents were Ezra Hall and Bessie Smith Hall. Services were June 30, 2015, at Filbeck-Cann & King Chapel. Jack Phillips and Mickey Filbeck will officiate, and burial in Provine Cemetery.
Mr. David Anthony "Dave" Hercula II, age 57, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 9:05 a.m. from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Benton, Kentucky. Born Tuesday, May 6, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Hercula. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1975 until 1979. He was a self-employed handyman. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Aurora. He is survived by his father, David Francis Hercula Sr. of Claire, Michigan; his wife, Lisa Marie (Jasieniecki) Hercula of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; two sons, Kevin Hercula and wife Megan of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, and David Hercula of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; daughter, Dawn Hercula MacGregor and husband Sean of Benton, Kentucky; two brothers, Michael Hercula of Hardin,Kentucky, and Tony Hercula of Benton, Kentucky; one sister, Sherry Kidd of Madison Heights, Michigan; three grandchildren, Arianna MacGregor of Benton, Kentucky, Noah Hercula of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, and Kaden Hercula of Gilbertsville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his mother; one son, Andrew Joseph Hercula; and one grandchild, Sophia MacGregor. Prayer service was held Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, Kentucky. Father Greg Trawick will officiate. Internment with military honors will follow the service at a later date in the Provine Cemetery, Benton, Kentucky.
James Robert Johnson Jr., 59, of Princeton died at 12:12 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Lourdes hospital. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Norantic Johnson; one stepson, Warren Bashem of Livermore, California; one stepgrandson, Joseph Bashem; one brother, Charles Johnson of Florida; and two sisters, Sharon Forsythe of Hammons, Indiana, and Cheryl Oney of Indiana. His father was James Robert Johnson Sr. Graveside services were June 29, 2015, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with the Revs. Elder Patrick Wright and Elder Thomas Hughes officiating. Morgan's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James Dion "Jimmy" Williamson, 67, of Princeton died at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Baptist Health Paducah. Mr. Williamson was retired from the county road department and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Lona Marie Jenkins Williamson; one brother, Gilbert Duane Williamson of Princeton; and three sisters, Barbara Oliver of Caldwell County, Donna Brown of McCutchanville, Indiana, and Joyce Roberts of Caldwell County. He was preceded in death by one sister. His parents were Gilbert and Racheal Beatrice Petty Williamson. Graveside services were June 28, 2015, at Norman Cemetery in Caldwell County. Bobby Jackson will officiate.
