Mrs. Mary Alice Day, 79, of Salem, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Alice retired after 28 years employment in the dietary department of Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services in Salem, KY. Mrs. Day is survived by one son, Jerry Day; one daughter, Gayle Holeman; one sister, Faye Croft of Salem, KY; grandchildren, Alison Holeman and Zach Day; great-grandchildren, Allie Day, Haley Day, Peyton Day and Jacob Holeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leroy Day; her son, Barry Day; one sister, Margie Williams; one brother, Ted Noel; her parents Virgil Noel and Naomi Myrick Noel. Graveside services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Mike Adkins officiating. Interment will follow. Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Methodist Church, 1416 Lola Road, Salem, KY 42078. Edward Louis Baker age 71 of Marion, KY passed away Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Crittenden County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr.Baker was an electrician in the coal mines, member of Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Dycusburg Lodge # 232 F & AM. He is survived by a daughter Kimberly Baker Robertson, Marion, KY; brothers, Jim Baker, California and Billy Baker, Princeton, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife,Carol Paris Baker; parents, Clifford and Mary Brown Baker; a brother, Stevie Baker of Fredonia. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11 AM at Freedom Cemetery with burial to follow. Myers Funeral Home, Marion, KY is handling the arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Paula Marie Millikan Byrne, 33, of Marion died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Byrne is survived by her husband, Mathew Byrne; her mother, Jeanette Lutz; her father, Paul Allen; one son, Jason Millikan; one daughter, Falicity Millikan; two brothers, Jonathan Allen and John Lutz; and one sister, Rachel Millikan. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Harvest House Church. Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jo Starrick, 77, of Marion died Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center. She retired from Siemens. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and attended House of Freedom & Worship in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois. Mrs. Starrick is survived by four daughters, Cathy Conyer, Diana Watson, Shirley Sosh and Debbie Myers, all of Marion; one son, Danny Starrick of Marion; one sister, Dean Beasley of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, Ronnie Smith of Paragould and Billy Smith of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carles Starrick; two sisters; one brother; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Her parents were Joe Franklin and Opal Louise Henson Lawnsdale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Myers Funeral Home in Marion. with burial in the Repton Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the funeral home. Ophelia F. Lawrence, 72, of Paducah died Friday, August 7, 2015, at River's Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa. Mrs. Lawrence was a retired bookkeeper from FLW Outdoors. Surviving are her husband, Walter B. Lawrence; two daughters, Denise Kennedy of Ashland City, Tennessee, and Stephanie Lawrence of Smithland; one son, Doug Jackson of New Albany, Indiana; one brother, William "Bill" Fitzgerald of Louisville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Her parents were William and Ginger Fitzgerald. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 7100, Paducah, KY 42002. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. John Stevens Woolf, age 77 of Grand Rivers, KY, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, at his home. Born Tuesday, October 5, 1937 in Crittenden Co, KY, he retired after 33 years of service with Air Products in Calvert City, KY. He a veteran honorably serving in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his daughter, Michele Baker of Gilbertsville, KY, four sisters, Charley Campbell of Evansville, IN, Ruth Jackson of New Madrid, MO, Myra Richbourg of Benton, MO and Susan Watson of Springfield, IL, one grandson, Jack Brunson of Murfreesboro, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Woolf, Barry Woolf, Paul Wade Woolf and Dwight Woolf, one sister, Anne Woolf. He was the son of the late Charles Woolf and the late Nelma (Fuller) Woolf. No Funeral Services will be scheduled. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
