MORE THAN conquerors
By Teresa LeNeave
We face a common enemy. When you sit in church, or at a ballgame, or at work, look at the person next to you. They are facing the same enemies you are. The person in the same room with you right now, faces the same enemy you do.
Satan's sole purpose is to steal, kill or destroy. He is set on making people, around the world, conform to pleasures and lust of the flesh to keep us from being transformed by God. He wants Christians to have the same mindset as the world. His strength is in getting us to think defeat and failure. He wants us to feel like the victim, but God's word says we are more thank conquerors.
The agenda of hell is meant to sweep you and I away from godly living; from loving God with all our heart, mind, and strength. Revelations talks about a flood that is released out of the mouth of the dragon to sweep the church away. I believe we are beginning to see the first set of waves hitting the shore.
If you take a moment to think about it, you probably could name some clear evidence in your own life where you know Satan has tried to stop you from getting into God's word. I know he has done that to me many times. He will try to stop you from getting into prayer because that's where he knows you'll gain power for the situations of life.
Satan knows if you ask, you receive; if you seek, you will find; if you knock, it will be opened to you. He knows prayer is a place of victory so it's just logical that he wants to stop us.
I Peter 4:12 says, "Don't think it strange, when the FIERY trial comes to test you." It happens to all of us. It's how we respond, or react, that makes a difference in our success of failure through our trial. Faith is not always easy and anyone who says differently has not been through many serious trials. The truth is we can stand. You can win. We just have to lean heavily on God who made me and you; heaven and all that there is.
In the book of Ephesians we read that we wrestle (fight) against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness, against wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12). Peter said, "Don't think it strange, like something strange is happening to you." You are not fighting alone. The person in the room with you fights the same battles you do. They may be different types of battles, but they all have the same agenda: to stop you.
The flesh wants to do the EXACT opposite of what the Spirit wants. These two forces are constantly fighting each other. OUR STRENGTH IS IN HOLDING ON.
When you fail, don't give up. Hold on. Just worship God anyway. Trust God. We are a work in progress. We are on our way. It's a journey, and a journey takes time. We are not there, yet. The key is to strive for constant improvement. Don't ever sit down on the side of the road and give up.
At the cross, Jesus died so we could win the battle. We are MORE than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, ...

Yet, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
