Museum and Library meeting held
BARDWELL- The Carlisle County Museum and Library Board Members met Thursday March 20. Those who attended were Larry Black, Secretary Leon Todd, Zane Teeters, Anita and Wayne Halladale, Joyce Adams, Murray Akers, Kay Presson, Lilly Morefield, visitors included Peggy Henshaw, Dawn and Zane Teeters Jr. and Shelia Baker Woodmen of the World Rep.
Acting President Larry Black called the meeting to order, followed by a motion to approve the minutes of the February meeting.
Zane Teeters reported on the sales of the Bricks reporting that 25 bricks have been sold and that the order has already arrived. He also stated that orders will be taken until July.
Where to display the bricks was discussed but no action was taken on the location. Moving more books, shelves and other items was also discussed. Todd stated that he will call members when it is a dry and warmer day to get the shelves moved. Computers screens and keyboards was also discussed, anyone that has any of the items they would like to donate it would be appreciated.
Peggy Henshaw stated she will be willing to write articles featured on an event or fact from the history in the Museum.
Representative from Woodmen of The World Carlisle County Chapter Shelia Baker stated that the chapter has historical items they would like to donate to the Museum. She stated that it would be nice if they could have a room to have just for the Woodmen items to be displayed.
Other discussion was electric work that needs to be done at the Museum.
