Funeral services for Carnie Austin Roper, 73, of Clinton were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Burial followed in Hickman City Cemetery in Hickman. Mr. Roper died Tuesday, November 11, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Paula Roper of Clinton; Three daughters, DebbieRoper of Clinton, Rebecca Crowe of Lexington, Tn. and Karen Roper of Paducah; one son, Allan Roper of Clinton; one brother, Gerald Roper of Hickman; two sisters, Verle Halterman of Evansville, In. and Jeanette Jones of Union City, Tn.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roper was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Roper; one brother; and three sisters. His parents were Albert “Max” and Mary Mills Roper.
