passed away on Monday,
November 3rd, at the age of 63.
Beloved husband of Myrtle Mott
May. Father of Jimmy, Tim and
Chris May of Kentucky.
Brother of John May, Peggy
Lumas and Marshall May.
Memorial Services were held at
Paradise United Methodist
Church, Paradise Rd, Grand
Rivers on Saturday, November
15, 2008 at 1:00pm.

Funeral services for Mona
Dorton, 55, of Ledbetter will be
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
Milner & Orr Funeral Home of
Paducah. Bishop Scott Sallee
and Bishop Erby Reed will officiate.
Burial will follow at
Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorton died Thursday at
4:45 p.m. at her home.
Formerly of Marshall
County, Mona was a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ and
was active in the Moose Club
and Bass and Gals Club.
She is survived by her husband,
Turner Lee “Bud” Dorton;
a daughter, Melissa Renee Picka
Jones of Paducah; two sons,
Eddie Wilson Taber II of
Mayfield and Paul Everett Tabor
of Hardin; a stepdaughter, Cherie
Zundel of Paducah; a sister, Lora
Luella Butler of Marshall
County; two brothers, James
Edward Stokes Jr. of Paducah
and Wayne David Cash II of
Marshall County; eight grandchildren;
and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, James Edward
Stokes and Aureba Lavern
Walker Stokes Cash; and an
infant son, James Taber.

Rev. Wayne Knoth, 74
Rev. Wayne Knoth went to be
with the Lord on Wednesday,
November 12th, at 7:22 p.m. at
his residence with his beloved
family by his side.
He was born Jan. 31, 1924,
to Herman and Ernestine
Hawley Knoth of Kuttawa.
Brother Wayne was a Baptist
minister who pastored at several
churches in the surrounding area
as well as being an interim pastor.
He was a member at
Hopewell Baptist Church, where
he surrendered to the ministry in
1955.
He is survived by his wife of
61 years, Sybil Gray Knoth; one
son, Mike Knoth and daughterin-
law Paula of Kuttawa; one
daughter, Cindy Anderson and
son-in-law John of Eddyville;
four grandchildren, David
Littlepage and wife Gina, Angie
Prine and husband Johnny, all
from Jacksonville, Fla., Nick
Knoth and fianceé Brittany of
Louisville, and Crissy Taylor
and husband Jeff of Kuttawa; six
great-grandchildren, Ashley,
Austin, Cohl, Faith, Alex,
Gracelyn and soon-to-be Trinity;
and extended family of three
stepgrandchildren and seven
stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Herman and
Ernestine Hawley Knoth; brothers,
Hawley, Leonard and James;
and sisters, Mary Lou Chandler
and Ella Davis.
Funeral services were held
Saturday at Dunn’s Funeral
Home in Eddyville with the
Rev. Gates Bowman officiating
assisted by the Rev. Mark Gill,
with burial following in
Kuttawa Cemetery.

Margaret Mary Murray, 69
Margaret Mary Murray, 69,
of Marion died Wednesday,
November 12th, at Regional
Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was a member of Main
Street Baptist Church in Marion
and retired from Tyco
Manufacturing.
Surviving are her husband,
Vestel Murray; two sons, the
Rev. Gary Murray of Marion and
Ronnie Murray of Cadiz; one
daughter, Brenda Yandell of
Marion; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, Patrick and
Elizabeth Coine, and one brother.
Services were Saturday at
Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial
was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Gracie Belt, 77
Gracie Katherine Belt, 77, of
Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed
away Nov. 11, 2008 at White
County Hospital in Searcy, AR.
She was a resident of White
County, Arkansas for 33 years.
She was born in Irma, Kentucky
May 9, 1931, to the late Sam
and Jeannie Curnel. Gracie was a
loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Belt owned three restaurants
and enjoyed cooking for
anyone who stepped through her
door. She also loved gardening
and quilting. She was preceded
in death by three sons, George
V. Tabor, Jr., Coy Wayne Tabor,
sons of the late George J. Tabor,
and Joseph Frances King, Jr.;
she is also preceded in death by
her late husband, James E. Belt,
Sr., and her sisters and brothers.
Survivors include two
daughters and six sons, Linda
Tabor Belt of Marion, Gary E.
Tabor of Marion, Kenneth D.
Tabor of Rose Bud, AR,
Katherine Ann Wilhite of Rose
Bud, AR, James E. Belt, Jr., of
Concord, AR, Eddie J. Belt of

of Wilburn, AR. Also surviving
are three sisters, Arla Givens of
Carrsville; Merle Belt Salem
and Pearl Wagoner of Paducah.
She had 35 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at
Boyd Funeral Directors in
Salem on Friday. Burial followed
at Deer Creek Church
Cemetery.
Coreen Grimmett, 86
Coreen G. Grimmett, 86, of
Salem died Nov. 12, 2008 at
Livingston Hospital and
Healthcare Services.
Mrs. Grimmett attended New
Union General Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter,
Kathy Grimmett of Marion; a
son, Larry Grimmett of Salem;
five sisters, Dorothy Crawford
of Smithland, Pauline Damron
of Salem, Rowena McKendree
of Benton, Roberta May of
Chicago, IL and Wanda Janes of

She was preceded in death by
her husband, Eugene Grimmett,
one sister and one brother.

Cemetery.
David Holloman, 42
David Holloman, 42, of
Eddyville died at 6:50 p.m.
Tuesday, November 11th, in a
one vehicle wreck in Lyon
County.
Mr. Holloman was a selfemployed
carpenter and coowner
of Area Lake Builders Inc.
Survivors include three
daughters, Summer Holloman
and Hannah Holloman, both of
Eddyville, and Linsey Holloman
of Princeton; his mother, Sandra
Tinsley Holloman of Marion;
three sisters, Barbara Davidson,
Patsy Nesbitt and Betty
Lanham, all of Marion; and one
brother, Kenneth Holloman of
Rosiclare, Ill..
He was preceded in death by
his father, Ray Holloman.
Services were Saturday at
Lakeland Funeral Home in
Eddyville. Burial followed in
White’s Chapel Cemetery in
Crittenden County.

Paul Bond, 68, of Salem died
Nov. 13th, at Hilltop Nursing
Home in Kuttawa. He attended
Pleasant Grove Church.
Mr. Bond is survived by several
nieces, nephews and
cousins. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Henry and
Martha Garnett Bond, two sisters
and five brothers.
Graveside services were held
Sunday at Pleasant Grove
Cemetery. Boyd Funeral
Directors in Salem were in
charge of arrangements.

Systems in Marion. He was
born August 11, 1933 to Willie
and Claras Thompson Burns.
Surviving is his wife of 34

Lynch of Paducah; step-daughter,
Sarah Duley Pitts (Ron);

He was preceded in death by a

p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Boyd
Funeral Directors in Salem with
Rev. Mike Birk officiating.
Burial will follow in Bethel
Cemetery in Joy.
