BENTON, Ky. — Veronica Doughty, 44, of Benton died at 9:54 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. She worked for the maintenance department at Kentucky Dam State Park. Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and the Rev. Ross Howard officiated. Burial was at Doughty Cemetery.

Ivergene Dublin

BENTON, Ky. — Ivergene Dublin, 88, of Benton died Sunday at Marshall County Hospital. She was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church. Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collier Funeral Chapel and the Rev. Jack Henshaw officiated. Burial was at Union Ridge Cemetery in Aurora.

Lawrence Bufford Sr.

BENTON, Ky. — Lawrence Warren Bufford Sr., 90, of Benton died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday at Britthaven of Benton. Mr. Bufford was a member of Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and was retired from C.C. Metals and Alloys. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Olive Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Mark Thweatt officiated. Burial was at Barnett Cemetery in Marshall County.

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. — Lourdes D. Cody, 76, of Gilbertsville died at 10:43 p.m. Monday at her home. There was no visitation or funeral service.
