Paducah Lions Club member named a Melvin Jones Fellow

Dr. Carolyn Watson, a local pathologist, Paducah Lions Club member, and native of Livingston County, was recently named a Melvin Jones Fellow at the Kentucky Lions State Convention in recognition of her dedicated humanitarian service. The fellowship is among the highest recognitions given by the International Association of Lions Clubs, the world's largest service organization, and was presented by Past International Directors Judge Robert Corlew of Milton, Tennessee, and Tom Matney of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Dr. Watson also received the Life Patron Award from the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, which is associated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Watson serves as a trustee of the Kentucky Medical Association and interim music director at the Highland Baptist Church in Paducah.
