Parkview Nursing and Rehab wins Business Development Award of Excellence
PADUCAH – Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Ky., recently won the Business Development Award of Excellence for Life Care Centers of America’s Bluegrass Region.
Life Care’s Eastern Division bestowed honors on one skilled nursing and rehab facility per each of its five regions. The awards recognize facilities for innovative programs in serving their communities.
The facility was nominated for its successful Harvest Music Fest, held Oct. 17.
The event kicked off with bingo for local seniors, and the music festival portion began as more community members arrived. Two bands played in the courtyard, and guests enjoyed dancing to the tunes, eating carnival-style food and taking pictures against a fall backdrop.
“We were very excited to find out that we won for our region,” said Melanie Henson, director of business development at the facility. “This was definitely an effort that required ‘all hands on deck,’ so we appreciate the help of our peers. Because of the fun everyone had, as well as the positive responses from those who came, we felt we succeeded in making a positive impact in our community.”
“What better way to spend a fall afternoon than with friends?” said Vicki Hood, division director of admissions development. “Many times, our residents have never been here before they come to us for rehab or skilled care, but events such as this allow us to introduce ourselves in a fun atmosphere.”
