Livingston County's eight year old softball team, The Lady Cardinals, went undefeated again for the 2019 season. The team has been undefeated for two years in a row, starting in 2018. The Lady Cardinals won their preseason tournament, the season's games, and the championship tournament. The team is coached by Keith Tramble, Leah Tramble and assistant coach Brad Kimberlin. They have been coaching the team since 2017.
The entire Lady Cardinals team has been together since they all started playing t-ball. Coach Leah Tramble says the team is very dedicated to what they do. "The girls enjoy being at games and practices, and never complain," Tramble added that the girls are very competitive, and she believes they all have bright futures in sports.
Jordan Smith, mom to player Natalee Smith says,"These girls are such an amazing little team. Each time they step foot on that field, they give it their all and play from the heart. They all inspire one another and build each other up, and they do whatever it takes to win." Smith also says, "Talent is nothing without dedication. If it weren't for our wonderful coaches and strong willed girls we wouldn't be where we are now."
Coach Tramble says their team goes beyond the players and coaches, and is a family affair. "Some of the parents have a sports background, so we get a lot of parent help as well,'' states Tramble. "Everyone works hard and no one complains." The team works very hard, and plays five to six days a week between games and practices.
Coach Leah Tramble says The Lady Cardinals plan to travel more in the near future to expose the players to new levels of competition. We look forward to what the future holds for this group of dedicated players!
