PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept. 13, 2019) -- A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along a section of KY 80/Arlington-Milburn Road in Carlisle County starting Monday, September 16, 2019.

Paving along KY 80/Arlington-Milburn Road runs from mile point 6.264 at the Hopewell Road intersection extending eastward to the Tom O'Neal Road intersection at mile point 7.558, a distance of about 1.3 miles.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic.

Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $190,901 highway improvement project. All work along this section of KY 80 is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
