Restroom construction complete at ball park
by Kelly Paul
Barlow - Magistrate Steve Cooper and Ballard County Schools Transportation/Facilities Director Kerry Fulcher came together last Thursday to officially announce the completion of the new restrooms at the Ball Park. The construction of the restrooms was made possible through a Land and Water Conservation Grant.
According to Judge/Executive Viniard, the project totaled $130,730. The grant was for $65,365 and was a 50/50 in-kind match. The newly completed project had been conceptualized several years ago when Ed Adami was Superintendent of Ballard County Schools wherein the School District worked with the Fiscal Court to build the much-needed restrooms.
Cooper and Fulcher wanted to give a special thank you to Jimmy Ivitts and Brad Chandler, who donated labor and materials for plumbing. In addition, they would like to thank Rhett Bochette of Ferguson’s Supply for donating fixtures.
