Flowers bloom and then they fade. Grass comes up but when the heat bears down it wilts and turns brown. Trees bud and the leaves are green for a while, then they fall off and the cycle is repeated. Though the bloom falls from the flower, the roots are not dead. Yes, the grass withers away, yet the roots are still alive. The leaf falls from the tree but it will bud again.
So it is with man. He sometimes faints with fear but he will regroup. He may go broke, but then a way will be made. Sickness may flatten him down for a while, but he will rise again. Friends and lovers may forsake him but he will find another. His ride may break down but he will soon get a better one. He gets knocked down but he rises again. His beauty will someday fade, but his spirit never will. You can put him in prison, but his hopes will soar. Even after putting him in a grave he will someday rise again. No trouble can stop him and no grave can hold him.
It is all God’s doing. It is never as it seems. Looks are deceiving. Lies will fade away. No situation is hopeless. Nothing is final. All things are subject to change. Hope springs eternal. Death turns back into life. Pains and fears vanish away. Sorrow and sadness turn back into gladness. The Lord always has the final say. His will shall be done. Nothing can stop it and no amount of gainsaying can change it.
Don’t be afraid to fight. Never give up. Keep believing, keep hoping, and keep trying. Your weakness will become strong. Your fears will become faith. Your enemies will become your friends or fade away. Your mourning will become laughter your sadness will soon become joy. We were created to thrive and so we will. We never quit, we never stop and we never turn back. Our Coach has a winning record and our team is united. We may be behind right now but when the final buzzer sounds, we win the game.
Jesus is the Way.
