Senator Rand Paul attends Groundbreaking
PADUCAH - A groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday morning with U.S. Senator Rand Paul in attendance.
Innovative Ophthalmology along with the new Paducah Lasik Center will take residence in the 15,000 square foot building, located at the corner of Lone Oak Rd. and Highland Blvd. in Paducah. Dr. Bowers currently works alongside Dr. Timothy Hobbs and another doctor will be joining them soon. The goal for opening the new offices is the end of 2014. Bowers’ husband, David Hoffman, is the administrator of the business.
After the ceremony, Paul, an outstanding eye surgeon, joined Dr. Bowers at the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Paducah and performed four free cataract removal surgeries. Participating in these pro bono operations allows him to remain up to date on the latest eye surgery advancements. The surgeries also allow Bowers and Paul to help the community of Western Kentucky by providing some much-needed surgery to patients with no insurance.
